there menu doesn't sound too appealing. but tried to go there anyway. needless to say there kitchen was closed. so i'll never know if theirfoodis any good, kind of pointless to be open til 1:30 and not even have a late night menu

pleasant and the sidewalk seats not all that bad. pork steak with sautéed spinach worked well. she says the hamburger above average. an unfortunately ill-prepared bread pudding dessert that had been, ahem, over cooked. my only pleasure was the server's report of how it had smoked up all inside the restaurant. so why was it even served to me? but all in all decentfoodand some humor to boot. i guess three monkeys could be described as uneven.

had heard about this place from a friend who said she loved their buffet and their mixed drinks. being quite a fan of mixed drinks myself i decided to take her up on her offer of going here for brunch. ever heard of the expression "don't judge a book by its cover", well that's exactly what happened here.
on the outside it looks cool and very very trendy, alas everything comes to a halt when thefoodcomes out. lacklustre pasta, flavourless soup, burnt bread, i could go on.
do yourself a favour and steer clear of their buffet.

ok food, horrible service. have tried this place several times, and hate to say it but we keep trying despite the poor service. wait times can be extreme, you may walk in and stand there for a while before anyone even greets you, or your server can just forget about you and yourfoodwhile she goes outside to take a smoke break and not even thank you for your patronage at the end of the meal as she throws your check down on the table.

food good, drinks and service bad. 6 of us went to dinner on saturday and the wait wasn't bad. thefoodwas really good. the service was horrible and so were the drinks. dont get the mojito unless you like watered down diet sprite. i never return food. but all my friends tried it and they didn't like it either. so i asked for a different drink. i got the the blue monkey, which was worse than the first drink. the waitress said i couldn't get it off the tab so a friend called the manager over, told her we were not mad, just disappointed and the drink needed to be taken off the tab. she did not seem happy but eventually agreed. stick with the beer andfoodand don't go to get chummy with the staff, because that won't happen.

had potential but failed. got off to a bad start, had to wait for 20 minutes with several empty tables in plain view. the drink i ordered was great. lobster rangoons were $8 for 5 small and tasteless morsels. $9 gyro consisted of some shreds of nasty lettuce, a sad excuse for tzatziki, and 3 small slices of gyro meat (no tomatoes, wth?). $9 bbq bourbon beef sandwich had very good beef and sauce but the cheap, store bought bun fell apart and made the sandwich a mess (why no pickles?). fries with both meals were disgustingly soggy. i would consider going back for drinks, but the $30 worth offoodwas a joke.

classy restaurant in south st. louis. my bro and i just came in for a beer and pizza and were pleasantly surprised at the beautiful eatery on morganford rd just a block away from tower grove park. we ordered a supreme pizza ( everything on it) and while we waited we saw some great lookingfoodgo by . we talked to some of the people around us and everyone agreed it was a great place to eat. the service was good, the pizza was delicious and the ambiance was warm and cheery . i will definitely be back to try some of the yummy looking items on the menu.

wouldn't go back. the wait was really long... it took forever to get the orders in (server was mia and no... it wasn' t busy) and thefoodtook a while to come out. we hit the last 20 minutes of the buffet time on sunday and they said we couldn't have it. so, instead we had to sit and watch everyone else eat it while it took them a good 40 minutes from sit down at the table to get ourfoodto our table. nothing worth returning for. bummer.

hmmm. i know people who love this place. six of us went for dinner on saturday at 6:30. after an hour wait we had okayfoodbut not really worth waiting that long for. the pizza crust was wonderful (not a st louis-style pizza lover) but the rest of the meat-lovers pizza was bland and boring. the caesar salad was good. friends had some ho-hum food, as well. still trying to figure out what all the hype is about?

an ok brunch. i went to three monkeys with a group of friends to have brunch recently. there is a very nice, large bar with lots of wood and good atmosphere; there's also another dining room where most of thefoodwas set up. there was a decent assortment of appetizers and traditional breakfast food, such as pancakes, bisquits and gravy, scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage. the chicken marsala was pretty good and the bacon was excellent. there was a nice choice of cheeses, crackers, fresh fruit and desserts. but the highlight was the pasta/omlette station in the bar. my friend said her omlette was as good as it gets. i tried some penne pasta with red sauce, bacon, mushroom and it was very good. the chocolate mousse cake and chocolate chip cookies got good reviews. the price is right at about $15.99 and that includes a mimosa or bloody mary.
the staff was very friendly and coffee and dish service for the brunch was good. i give it 3/5 stars.

good monkey. love this place!! i have had a couple of lunches and sunday brunch and all have been excellent. the staff is extremely friendly and attentive. their service makes you feel as if you are at a friends home.
sunday brunch is a bargain at it's price which includes your first bloody mary or mimosa. a huge variety offoodwhich makes it hard to decide where to start and when to say stop.
the nachos are better then any mexican restaurant, the ribs are a notch above pappy's and the chicken wings are crispy and offer a different twist to the typical restaurant wing. love the patty melt when offered as a daily special.
my only nay, is the cuban sandwich is a little over done and dry.
visit this place, you'll love it!

not up to par. the service &foodwere very poor. our server wasn't very attentive, forgot waters, never came back to check on us after dropping off our lunch, and took an additional ten minutes to bring us our round of drinks. i was confused on why the service was so slow because as i gazed around the room- i noticed there was only one other table. thefoodwasn't terrible but it wasn't good. there are so many other bar/restaurants/pubs around socity that this establishment doesn't stick out enough to make me return.
