pleasant and the sidewalk seats not all that bad. pork steak with sautéed spinach worked well. she says the hamburger above average. an unfortunately ill-prepared bread pudding dessert that had been, ahem, over cooked. my only pleasure was the server's report of how it had smoked up all inside the restaurant. so why was it even served to me? but all in all decent food and some humor to boot. i guess threemonkeyscould be described as uneven.

went saturday for a burger and salad, burger was over cooked salad was wilted service was o.k been tomonkeysa few times my opinion its just o.k much needed improvements needed

great pizza. i finally went to the threemonkeysthis past week on a wednesday night. we were able to get a table right away. our table of 4 ended up getting pizza (split 2 16" pizzas and had left overs). the pizza was excellent and i would highly recommend it. it has a medium crust that reminds me of the thickness of nyc style pizza. cheese and toppings were fresh and well blended. we also ordered drinks and my friend and i recommend the bellini on their cocktail menu.

everything was decently priced (cocktails $6, pizza $17), service was prompt and attentive, and they let us hang out at our table long after we were finished without hassling us. they also have a nice cozy pub/grill atmosphere. wasn't smokey.

my only caution is they are normally packed on the weekends. i've tried going there 3 times in the past (prior to this visit) on either a friday or saturday and they've had 1-1.5 hour wait. i would call ahead and check on their wait before you head over.

an ok brunch. i went to threemonkeyswith a group of friends to have brunch recently. there is a very nice, large bar with lots of wood and good atmosphere; there's also another dining room where most of the food was set up. there was a decent assortment of appetizers and traditional breakfast food, such as pancakes, bisquits and gravy, scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage. the chicken marsala was pretty good and the bacon was excellent. there was a nice choice of cheeses, crackers, fresh fruit and desserts. but the highlight was the pasta/omlette station in the bar. my friend said her omlette was as good as it gets. i tried some penne pasta with red sauce, bacon, mushroom and it was very good. the chocolate mousse cake and chocolate chip cookies got good reviews. the price is right at about $15.99 and that includes a mimosa or bloody mary.
the staff was very friendly and coffee and dish service for the brunch was good. i give it 3/5 stars.

horrible!!!. we had threemonkeyslast night for dinner and it was the worst dinner we have had in a long time. i can't believe urbansppon has this restaurant listed as #2 best bbq in st. louis. that is not the case. i tried the ribs with mashed potatoes and my friend tried the pork sandwich with coleslaw. the ribs were very tough and smothered in a sweet sauce that was not very appetizing. the pork sandwich was served on an extremely soggy bun and the pork was so sweet she couldn't even finish the sandwich. the coleslaw was pretty heavy on celery salt as well. the mashed potatoes tasted like they came from your basic school cafeteria. my husband ordered the red beans and rice and the rice wasn't even fully cooked, much less the lack of flavor. all that and we waited for over 30 minutes to get our food. please save your time and money and go to a different restaurant.

we've searched around for sunday brunch buffets and threemonkeyshas one of the best. loved the cold salmon, the bloody mary (included in price for brunch), the omelet, green beans, biscuits & gravy were all delicious! i didn't get a chance to try the pasta but our neighbor's dish looked excellent. we'll definitely be back and will bring my mom next time!

the best for the money. i'm wondering if i've been to the same threemonkeysas the reviewer below me, because i've had nothing but good experiences at this local spot.

threemonkeysoffers a great value for the casual diner. the jungle love nachos are one of my favorites and they are huge. the pulled pork really sets them off.

i also love to go there for lunch during the week. they have a list of about 5 sandwhiches or salad for $8.95 it comes with a drink and a side as well. i picked up lunch for me and a co-worker and the bill was under $20.

finally i come to the pizza. i am not a fan of super thick crust pizza, so for me this is by far the best in town. it's hand tossed and comes with lots of toppings. i absolutly love the meat lovers.

threemonkeyshas always been a great experience for me, and i've always had friendly service. it's definately one of my favorite places to go.

great for lunch. the lunch specials at threemonkeysare hard to beat. an entree, side and a drink for $7.00 is one of the best bargains in town! my only concern is how can they serve food this good at such a low price?

great place great food. i've been to the threemonkeysseveral times, the new non smoking addition is a +++. food is always great, atmosphere is the best, and the staff is always freindly and courteous.

fantastic food and friend service!. this is the best pizza i've found in st. louis. the quicksand is my personal favorite - and if you don't like some of the toppings they will usually let you switch them out (much more cost effective than adding toppings to a cheese pizza). the best part about threemonkeysis that all the food is incredible - and so are the drinks. at current the place is a bit smoky, and you have to arrive early or be prepared to wait.

mcs. great new addition to south st. louis. beautiful dark wood throughout. food was good. we enjoyed the lobster rangoon and really liked the pizza. the pizza is a ny style with wonderful crust. the happy hour bargains were super, which included half price pizza. i look forward returning.
but is this a restaurant or a bar? the room is small and the dining area is not separated from the bar area. the afternoon we dined, the bar was sometimes loud. allowing smoking throughout might be a concern for some.
i hope threemonkeysprospers and expands and offers a dining area with a no smoking section.
