i don't get this.. i'm having a hard time understanding all the glowing review on this site for three monkeys. are people going to the same place as i am? the one with uncomfortable seating, notoriously slow service, bland pizza and boiled ribs? i went to one of their sunday brunches (admittedly shortly after opening) and was appalled at the buffet - cold, rubbery pancakes, unappetizing fruit plate and i had to pick shells out of the scrambled eggs.

sandy. we really enjoyed our first visit to 3 monkeys--i had a "fat burger" and it was the best hamburger ever (and hamburgers are my favorite meal!). don't be tempted by the exotic sounding fried potato salad. fried potato pieces tossed in mayonaise and other seasonings are horrible. can't wait to go back for another meal.

first visit. the lobster ravioli was good, but couldn't detect any lobster in it. the fried potato salad was a novel idea, but was absolutely terrible--way too tart, and warm mayo is not pleasant. however, the fat burger i had was one of the best burgers i've ever had (and, trust me, i've had a lot of burgers). i'll be back to try other menu items, if i can resist ordering the burger over and over.

how many jokes about three monkeys have been based on its name? we promise to spare you any more about this bar/restaurant south of tower grove park, which is becoming a pastureland for the grazing of the young and casual. it’s satisfying to see old u

fantastic food and friend service!. this is the best pizza i've found in st. louis. the quicksand is my personal favorite - and if you don't like some of the toppings they will usually let you switch them out (much more cost effective than adding toppings to a cheese pizza). the best part about three monkeys is that all the food is incredible - and so are the drinks. at current the place is a bit smoky, and you have to arrive early or be prepared to wait.

pizza. the pizza here is fabulous due to the wonderful dough that they use. no offense st louis, but i can't stand the ultra thin crusts that so many places offer in town. the toppings are fresh, the dough is regular crust, but light enough to not weigh you down.

quick service & tasty food. i enjoyed 3 monkeys. the service was quick and the food was average fare prepared well. i liked the ribs. the sauce was really tasty, but the ribs could have used a bit less sauce. on my next visit, i'll ask for the sauce on the side. good q should be able to stand on its own without being smothered with sauce. the accompanying salad and vegies were great as well.

mcs. great new addition to south st. louis. beautiful dark wood throughout. food was good. we enjoyed the lobster rangoon and really liked the pizza. the pizza is a ny style with wonderful crust. the happy hour bargains were super, which included half price pizza. i look forward returning.
but is this a restaurant or a bar? the room is small and the dining area is not separated from the bar area. the afternoon we dined, the bar was sometimes loud. allowing smoking throughout might be a concern for some.
i hope three monkeys prospers and expands and offers a dining area with a no smoking section.
