amazing. i thoroughly enjoyed my meal here. it was a wonderful experience from start to finish. we had a great bottle of wine, a few great starters (you must have the crab cakes!!! unlike any i have ever had.) our entrees were so tasty and the accompaniments were very generous portions.

i felt that the quality of the food and the excellent service made for a memorable evening of dining. the final bill was reasonable given everything listed above. i would definitely eat here again, next time i am in town.

what a brown-nosing waiter!. my dad had a wonderful time at oceanaire!

unfortunately, our visit there was not for my dad but for my wife. i had made a reservation through open table and had specified that the occasion was my wife's birthday. the waiter acknowledged it was my wife's birthday and wished her a happy birthday. but after that, the service my wife and i received was no better than the service one would receive at denny's or perkins. we had to ask the waiter for everything we wanted - drinks when we were empty, a napkin when one was taken from us and coffee when it wasn't offered.

the waiter had zeroed in on my dad as the person paying the bill, a.k.a. the tipper. he said things to him like working with our table wasn't even like working at all, and that after his shift was done and he was drinking a beer with his buddies, he was going to make a toast to my dad because he was such a great guy.

what b.s., what a brown-nosing waiter and what poor service we received because of that.

expensive $$$$$. i recently took a group of 9 customers for dinner at oceanaire and was very dissappointed about the experience. i found a moderate priced red and white bottle of wine on the menu ($55.00 a bottle), but they were out of both and only had $70+ bottles available. i felt as though the waiter took advantage of us (pharma company) and assumed he could bring out multiple items of food to increase the bill. when i ordered the appetizers, he brought out 2-3 of each, he was continuously pushing my guests to upsell their meal and when we ordered our side dishes (which were $8-$9 each) he brought out several of the same side dishes as well. the bill was almost $1300.00 for 10 people and when we left, our table was loaded with food that our group certainly could not eat. the pandering waiter created a tense and uncomfortable experience for our group, i will not return anytime soon. the food was good, but not worth the high price!

mediocre faire at a high price point. first off, i grade places like oceanaire where entrees average over $35/ea on a more stringent code than a $15-20 seafood place. with that being said oceanaire has a lot going for it but fell down in key areas. while the service level was excellent the food quality was uneven and they have an issue with their wines by the glass.

we started out with some salads - all excellent especially their caesar - and a prawn cocktail. so far so good. my so ordered a glass of duckhorn chardonnay. for those who have experience with that wine, it usually is a full-flavored, oaky wine. what she received tasted like a watered down version and the pour, for $18 was not very generous. she ordered a glass of santa margarita pino grichio with her entree, again a label she was familiar with, and again it tasted flat. i had a glass of mcmanus cab with my entree and it was fine.

the entrees arrived and all were to some degree disappointing. my ny steak was tasty but overly salty. my guess is when things get busy in the kitchen - and this was a busy saturday - the kitchen depends too heavily on the salt and don't take the time to taste the results properly. my sos swordfish was perfectly cooked in the middle but tasted dry and overcooked on the outside. my daughter had the crab cake entree and they had way too much of a mayonaise-like taste.

we've been to the vegas location which is why we chose oceanair. aside from the superior service level it was hard to believe the two are sister establishments.

good, but watch your wallet. i can't complain about much, but the fois gras was truly terrible. i'd recommend the halibut and the asparagus. wine menu is excellent, but don't expect anything less than $40 a bottle.

my boyfriend and i had a great night at oceanaire! the food and drinks were great. yes, the prices are slightly steep. but, if you don't want to pay those prices don't eat there. the service made everything 100x better! our server was very knowledgeable and helped me decide what to try. it was an overall great dining experience.

i really liked oceanaire a lot so i recommended it to my boss for our final dinner in san diego. she wanted to have some good seafood. supposedly, the oceanaire is as good as it gets in san diego. oh, and i had read on foursquare that if you tell them it’s your birthday when you make your reservation they print your name on the menu. my curiosity got the best of me and so i wanted to put this to the test. ginger didn’t want it to be her birthday so it ended up being mine. lol.

this was our first time at the oceanaire in denver. the hostess didn't seem very welcoming but our waitress was very nice and she made several good recommendations. at her recommendation, i chose the new zealand barramundi fish, blackened with bleu cheese with caramelized onions. it was really good. my mom got the crab cakes and my dad got the sriracha salmon with potatoes. we paired our dishes with the parmesan asparagus and creamed corn. for dessert, we had the chocolate cake. the food was really good and the ambiance was overall pleasant.

i recently dinned here on 9/4/18 prior to seeing a show. the wait staff was aware of our time restrictions (1.5 hours). our main course was somewhat delayed, and then when i received my halibut it was overcooked. this was reported to multiple wait staff including our waiter. i was offered a new piece of fish, but with only 15 minuets to show time i explained there was no time for a replacement and i would eat the fish. there was no further attempt at service recovery. i was appalled that i was charged 37$ for a piece of over cooked fish. there was no time to dispute this grievance as the show was starting soon. the waiter was not prompt with the delivery of the bill or processing of the check. i am very disappointed as this could have been a great experience.

the oceanaire seafood room lives up to its name by offering only the finest and freshest sustainably caught seafood. with its sprawling, dark-wood dining room and tables adorned in white linen, you’ll feel as if you’ve stepped back in time to a classic 1930s ocean liner.

started out with some oysters and shrimp cocktail. excellent, but the cocktail sauce for the shrimp was a little too horse radishy. next i had the lobster bisque and that was great. my wife and i both had halibut as our main entree and mine was topped with crab and a caper sauce. awesome. the creamed corn is to die for but i was disappointed the brussel sprouts were not available. the banana cream pie was a perfect finish to the meal.
