7 out of 10.. super friendly staff who's very knowledgeable about what they serve. greatbeerselection and pleasant bar area. the food was just so-so, kind of an imitation of what/how they think brits eat. not so much authentic, but a good try.

not very good.. scotch eggs were good but when dipped into the sauce served with them, it tasted horrible. the shepards pie was not anything like one i've had. it was not a pie at all, it was the filling on a plate under a piece of bread. very bland. would not go back for food, maybe abeerbut that is it.

wonderful little place!!! we stopped in to kill a little time and found a true gem. the staff was amazingly friendly and charismatic. great selection ofbeeron tap. we made several friends at the bar that we are still in touch with months later. now the food. we got the scotch eggs and reuben eggrolls for appetizers, both were so tasty. the scotch eggs were cooked perfectly, the eggrolls were like eating a perfectly cooked mini-reuben. we wanted the chicken fried ribeye, but they were sold out. nice to know they don't let food sit around week to week. we settled for the chicken fried chicken and it was not disappointing. overall the atmosphere is great, the crew was wonderful and the food was on point. combine that with the greatbeerselection and you have a winning place.

greatbeerselection. bangers n mash, shepard's pie, mac n cheese, fish n chips are great. price for alcohol is pretty good and they have drink specials all the time.

bartender suggested the shepherd's pie over the bangers. really enjoyed it. goodbeerselection. friendly staff. good pub feel to the place. not too many tvs. pool table, dart board, golden tee, and a healthy scotch & irish whiskey selection. i'm going to be back to try the bangers. i wish i lived closer.

surmising "the londoner" in .... surmising the londoner in one word? that's easy: flavor.

you can taste everything. the subtle flavor of the fish. thebeerin thebeerbatter. the potatoes in the chips (french fries). they add just enough spices and herbs to accent what you're eating, not hide it.

they don't load everything up with salt and grease to the point you've forget what you're eating. and, the toffee pudding is worth the drive no matter what part of town you live in.

our waitress, victoria, was polite, very we'll-mannered and prompt.

i recommend the londoner, highly.

great place. we went here on a whim and was blow away. the staff was so attentive, i have never been served like that in a bar/pub place. the food was absolutely amazing and thebeerlist was full of tons of local and imported beers. something for everyone's taste buds. the prices were very affordable especially for someone who is on a budget. before we left the waiter stated that he hopes we will visit again. this is a place that we will visit as often as we can!!

always a pleasure. this place is close, open late, and affordable - so as a grad student, it's a natural habitat. the menu items are definitely different from what you'll find elsewhere in baton rouge, with a good mix of home comfort food and american pub favorites. the prices are good, getting a large burger on homemade sweet buns with a crock of creamy mac and cheese is under $10. i wouldn't say that the wait staff is the friendliest, but they always have prompt service and are hospitable. prices are good and thebeerselection is one of the better in baton rouge, with a good mix of british imports and louisiana brews. definitely a bar-like atmosphere and popular with locals.

go somewhere else. the concept of this place is good, but unfortunately the execution is way, way off.

the price on the menu is less than the price they'll actually charge you. watch out. it's systematic, unethical, and they're unapologetic.

thebeeroften has a slightly soapy taste to it - sometimes it's a very soapy taste. this has been going on for a number of months, despite my group of friends complaining on several occasions. i don't know what they're messing up, but it really ruins a beer.

the selection is unreliable - for instance they were routinely out of smithwick's for months in a row.

all in all, londoner used to be good - it became our default bar - but it's now disappointing and sad. you'll be happier if you go somewhere else.

goodbeerselection but the food and service horrible. never order steak old dryed fatty. bangers mash good. too many kids on phone and not intrested in serving.

great food and atmosphere!. we thoroughly enjoyed our first visit to the londoner and long to go back. we tried a couple of different rounds of thebeersamplers. green mussel appetizer as well as cheese fries (all yummy!). the fish n chips were amazing! everything is fresh, the fish was beautifully flaky and crispy. the dill tartar sauce was so good i could eat it with everything. hubby got the steak and ale pie which was a big strong in flavor for me, but he enjoyed. i also tried the sheperd's pie which was also very tasty. for dessert we had the sticky toffee pudding and the fried bread pudding. all so good. great experience and anyone we've referred has said the same. cant wait to go back!

weekly date night. good replica of pub for the american market. they could have made the booths more intimate,but all and all hubby and i love this place. bangers and mash and even the steak ale pie are pretty good.oh and the chicken on spinash is really some thing you should try if you don't like all the calories. we love the atmosphere and the waiters are really good. was really impressed that they knew what abeershandy was.

tasty and friendly... pretty much always.. i love the londoner. it isn't authentic... but who cares? it's fun and i've never had a problem with the waitstaff. they are fast and friendly. the food really isn't expensive, at least in comparison to similar restaurants in baton rouge. everything i've had there has been either good or very very good, and i've tried about half of the menu, over time. nicebeerselection for sure, and staff are knowledgeable about them.

to everyone complaining about the volume... it is a bar. like the chimes or similar restaurants, it is a bar, that serves food. it will be loud, with various sports games on. that is part of the experience.

their sticky toffee pudding is the best dessert you will ever put in your mouth. thebeerbattered cod is also really good. extensivebeerselection.
