nice atmosphere. really enjoyed the lively atmosphere of the londoner. they have some good drink specials as well. i had fish and chips and my husband had a steak sandwich. these were both just ok. i tried the chicken kabobs and they were cooked well and nicely seasoned. i would recommend as a good place to have a few drinks.

$2.00 coffees, correction. early in march i wrote about attending brunch at the londoner and being charged $2.00 for each refill of coffee. i received an email from the manager, robert. he has assured me the refill charges were in error and not the policy of the londoner. they have taken steps to be sure customers are not charged for refills of coffee.
as i stated early, i had still planned on dining at the londoner even before being contacted by mr. robert. i and my family consider it one of our favorite places to dine. when my son and his wife visits, it's where they request to also dine. we love the staff, the atmosphere and the food. i highly recommend you check it out.

$2.00 coffees. just had brunch at the londoner on s. sherwood for the first time. i enjoyed the corned beef hash except the potatoes in the hash were too spicy. the heat of the potatoes took away from the taste of the hash. my biggest complaint was getting charged $2.00 everytime i asked for a coffee refill. of all the places in baton rouge i've enjoyed breakfast or brunch, i've never been charged for every coffee refill. it did a good job of running up my bill. i enjoy the food at the londoner and will return, but for brunch, i'll drink water!

beer selection-ok food- eh. everything seemed frozen and overpriced. the decor was inauthentic and cheesy. i felt like i was in disneyland.

food not good. just ate at the londoner. atmosphere was promising. beer selection was really good. drink plenty before you order, because the food is terrible. i ordered fish and chips at my server's suggestion. i wish i would have gone with my first choice of pulled pork, but she assured me the fish and chips were not greasy. guess what? super greasy, super soggy fries, and i have had much better battered cod at picadilly. my husband's steak and ale pie was dinty more beef stew in a piping hot puff pastry. to sum up, food not good, beer selection, good.

just like in uk!. the food was great and for the great price! me, my husband and our 2 y.o. son had an appetizer and each had a meal and total was 45$! we still had leftovers.
their beer selection is great, lots of samuel smiths and other good beers.
the stuff was very friendly, and the atmosphere is nice and relaxing. it'll work for friends night out as well as the family dine out.

never fails me. i have never actually eaten here yet. but i have gone many many times to hang out and drink and i've had a blast every single time. everyone who works there is super super nice and always made sure that we were served very promptly. i have never had to wait for a drink and they always suggest the best types of beer to try. i love it. thumbs up!

fish and chips. the chips are delicious. actually had them as an appetizer as well with the curry sauce. good flavor, good crispiness. the fish, eh...i've had better. the batter didn't have that crispy zip to it that you expect with beer battered cod. a little on the salty side as well. would have liked to see a darker, crispier batter.

excellent fare, great beer, terrific atmosphere. the londoner pub and grill is a great addition to the south baton rouge scene. 10+ visits and i haven't had a bad experience yet. the atmosphere is wonderful, whether for a beer after work, a night on the town, or a nice date. the portions are ample, the prices are fair, and the food and service are superb. i recommend the tower of london burger and the sheperd's pie, and the cheesy hampton fries are done perfectly. enjoy a pint from the ample beer list, and tip your server. if you haven't been yet, you are missing out!

wednesday night dinner. first time to the londer and loved it! the decorator did a phenomenal job! i felt like i was in a pub right in the middle of london! the bar also made me reminisce of my days living in lincoln park, chicago. the server was cute and knowledgeable! my club sandwich on wheat was delish-i-oso and so fresh! i would love to organize a party in the back room with the pool tables for a client someday!

coporate cookie-cutter approach. we went for lunch. we had the fish and chips and the bangers and mash. both came out lukewarm (not hot). flavor of the bangers and mash was ok, but the portion size did not merit the $9 price. the fish and chips were ok, but no where near the best i've had. everything is supposedly fresh/never frozen, but it would be hard to convince me of that (e.g., the oddly rectangular fish fillets looked only a little better than the gordon's kind you get from the freezer section at the grocery store). we were also looking to play darts, but there were tables in the line of throw, pillars somewhat in the way of the boards, and no throwing lines on the floor (making the dart boards more for show than actual use). overall, we came away feeling this "pub" was more of a corporate show than an actual homey place we would frequent (kind of like a shoney's is a corporate, cookie-cutter take on a mom & pop restaurant--not necessarily bad, but didn't feel "real" or authentic). our waiter was also slow and inattentive.

genuine imitation pub!. we've eaten here several times - it's a very pleasant imitation english pub - well designed for the american market and slightly tongue in cheek... but nothing like the sort of pubs that i grew up in as a kid. if you're looking for a real pub - this isn't it - but that said, it's a pleasant place to eat and the food is generally better quality than you'd get in a real english pub - but that's not saying a whole lot - it's average food by baton rouge standards.

there's a very good selection of beers (all served too cold but you can just let it sit there for a while to warm up) - it's a nice open atmosphere with friendly staff - a good place for a lads night out. let's face it - you're here for the beer - not the food.

it's worth noting that they have tables outside so unless it's really cold you can eat, drink and smoke here.

the steak and ale pie was delicious. it was chocked full of meat and mushrooms. however, the side order of mashed potatoes served in a crock was too much. i would have preferred a salad. i gave this suggestion to our wait staff.
