we visited hussar grill @ monte casino for a birthday dinner. a reservation was made which helped as the restaurant was packed. service: since upon arrival to departure we had fabulous service, friendly and very efficient waitress and staff. was pleasant. decor and ambiance: i really liked the warm cosy, welcoming feel of the restaurant, beautiful bar area with couple of magnum bottles of wines and champagnes displayed and which adds to the ambiance. one can be seated inside or out ... both amazing. drink and food: a very exciting and extensive drinks andfoodlist with a few favorites. started with a baked camembert and plum sauce ... yum. also had the parmesan chicken breasts with mustard sauce on mash and it was so delicious.... just a bummer i had no more space for dessert! can recommend thg for sure and would definitely return to try more dishes and dessert! ✨

after having been disappointed with a poor experience at another venue, at the 11th hour i moved my 40th birthday dinner to the hussar grill montecasino. this venue is remarkable. the manager brian, was so accommodating to our needs even though it was a busy friday night and it was last minute with my 21 guests. he catered to our needs to the t. the staff trish and mbali served us throughout the night, and these two ladies were impeccable on their service. thefoodfrom starters through to mains and the desserts were all delectable and the portions are extremely generous and satisfying. i could not have asked for a better celebration with my family and friends than this beautiful experience at the hussar grill. thank you again to brian and his team for the excellent service.

went to the hussar grill restaurant for dinner before watching a show at the monteteatro. all in all it was a good choice! this place is really a steak restaurant. everybody on our table had different cuts of meat which all was grilled to everybody's specific liking. i ordered the 600g t-bone (rare) and was not disappointed at all. it was grilled perfectly and had a good portion of fillet and sirloin to it. thefoodwas really good (you must order the onion rings). my only complaint is the fact that although we ordered ourfoodtimeously and notified our waiter of our pending show, that the service was a bit slow and we had to rush in the end to finish ourfoodbefore the doors to the show closed (but i can say that during this whole time all the staff members were still friendly and helpful).

celebrated a 50th birthday with a menu that was very reasonable. portions were good. service was good andfoodquality was excellent. management was open to the flash mob i arranged as a surprise.

decided to celebrate my birthday at hussar grill. however not a good experience. the waitress and manager was good and very accommodating but the steaks was all over cooked and thefoodwas average.

my mom and i went to the hussar grill in the middle of december 2018 and we thoroughly enjoyed our meal.

the service was impeccable and the atmosphere very welcoming. the staff were kind and attentive.

our drinks were delightful, the cape town pink lady gin and tonics in particular, and thefoodeven more so. my mom ordered the parmesan chicken breasts. the chicken was cooked to perfection and the mash was creamy and soft. i ordered the hussar burger with extra cheese and bacon. the burger was huge and absolutely delicious. thefoodwas spectacular and we couldn’t have picked a better place for our meal of the day.

the manager of the restaurant checked on us frequently and even offered a complimentary taste of their speciality chocolate martini dessert. we both really enjoyed that and found it to finish off our meal nicely.

overall i highly recommend the hussar grill to families, friends and couples looking for a fairly priced but excellent meal.

i was keen to try out a new grill so we popped in at the hussar grill. we were welcomed by friendly staff who are well organized. the ambiance is amazing with a european feel. we decided to have the snails for a starter. the snails were good but the cheese solidified making it difficult to combine with the snails. for mains we had calamari and squid heads as well as a fillet bearnaise. thefoodwas cooked to perfection. the meat is of a high quality choice cut and the sauce perfect. its the best french style fillet if had in years. dessert was amazing, we had the hussar icecream dessert with vanilla icecream, nougat, honeycomb, marshmellow and dark chocolate sauce. hussar grill is definitely one of my favorite spots.

i have gone to the hussar grill so many times and every time thefoodand service has been excellent. they never disappoint. i highly recommend the hussar grill for an exquisite dining experience.

great venue and service. pity thefoodlet's it down so badly. won't be returning unless i have an overwhelming urge for a bit of poor quality steak with a lot of fat.

the service here is very good. the atmosphere is very calming. thefoodis great. i had a steak which was done to perfection. i also had an ice-cream dessert which was amazing. i would recommend this place to anyone. its just a nice place to be.

worst 2 experiences ever! went first time, medium steaks completely under-done. take my food, wait 10 minutes while my husband sits with hisfoodwaiting for mine to return. then myfoodreturns, but with none of my sides that was on my plate. took another 5 minutes to get those back. the manager bribed us with a r300 voucher to return. so we did, took our parents for supper - same thing again! we will never return - they are overpriced and very disorganised. don't waste your money with them!

went for lunch today what a mistake. service was abysmal when thefoodarrived it was cold and my ribs were the worst i have ever eaten.
