what a shame! restaurant with good food but with horrible service. it begin with just trying to add your name to the list. we waited 45 minutes. and it would not have been a big deal if they were organized and actually sat people in the order they came. food was tasty but service at the table was horrible as well. as soon as we sat we were delivered soap grease water that tasted terrible. it took 45 minutes to get our food when we ordered an appetizer, salad and sandwich! we will not be back!

chef chris remembered that we had been overcharged for a beer last time so abe’s southern pecan (one of the best he’s ever drank) was on the house! my diet creme was delicious, as well – sipped on between many many many bites of food shared amongst the table.

what a delight!. interesting takes on old standards.
inventive and excellent drinks, tantalizing appetizers and delectable entrees,
everything we had was good here, and we had alot!

thoughtful, creative cooking and dismal service. after waiting an hour for our cocktails, which were delicious and well-crafted, we proceeded to receive some of the worst service in the whole of our combined experience. when alerted to the fact that we had been sitting for over 45 minutes with nothing on the table, the waiter came to us and informed our table that he had completely forgotten to put in our order- cocktails and all. no real apology was given and we then received our cocktails, appetizers and entrees all within 10 minutes or so.

the food was thoughtfully created. mr. pickles had the korean- cajun pork special, which was beautifully presented and very tasty. i had the fish special, which was also very good. the cheeses were very nice; it was the best aged gouda i've ever had and the red pepper tapanade was artful and flavorful.

but back to the service. when the time came to settle the bill we halfway expected that something would have been automatically taken off given the long and unapologetic wait but it was all there. no mention of the inconvenience at all. we nicely asked that the cocktails, for which we had waited an hour, be taken off the bill. that's when the waiter snapped. he was indignant and rude and argued that this request a huge burden on him. he pulled up a chair and sat, arguing with us, stating that we were, "really putting the thumbscrews on him." the cocktails were ultimately taken off the bill, though we did not see ryan again.

unfortunately, i will never return to the green goddess. the food is very good, thoughtful and creative, but no food is worth service that bad. period.

take the magic carpet ride. what was very appealing abou the green goddess is that not only did it have a fancy grilled cheese sandwich for $4 - 5 on beer bread, the dishes were varied from common, inexpensive, good food, to unique, international, one of a kind dishes. we were fortunate enough to have chef chris debarr wait on our table. he was an expert in wine pairings, describing the history behind certain dishes, and just had a great attitude. lots of drinks to choose from, the dishes change out seasonally.

food was good but way too pricy. it was recommended as vegetarian but there was only one option in the menu. waitstaff said the other cook left.

ate there 5/4/12. innovative food. we ordered the tasting menu. most outstanding: poached oysters, "freeky" tabouleh (not traditional tabbouleh, and is better!), very large (and tasty) large shrimp "in grass skirt and the beet "raviloli" (paper thin golden beets stuffed w truffled chèvre) were standouts. too bad dinner service ending next week; exciting news for their new restaurant opening soon.

best. meal. ever!. ate their with my fiancee (a vegetarian) on a recent trip to nola. chris explained all of the dishes with such enthusiasm and excitement. our many course meal was a delightful, whimsical, yummy trip. this was easily the best meal i have had in a long time and a fantastic overall dining experience. i have eaten at many similar (inventive) restaurants all over the nation, but none of them have blown me away the way green goddess did.

green goddess is a small french quarter restaurant with a great array of vegetarian and vegan fare paired with exciting cocktails. what it lacks in size it more than makes up for with gigantic flavors that come from the fresh ingredients. calling green go

could have liked it.... i purchased a restaurant.com gift certificate to the green goddess and tried to use it but they don't accept them, so that money went down the drain... they had a sign that said they didn't accept them but if they were smarter they would take it off restaurant.com's website. the food on the menu looked crazy different and i wish i could have tried some of it. it looked good! most of the seating was outside and it was crazy hot that day so after not accepting the gc we decided to check some other places out that had some ac

with a visit here being on the top to-do for this city, we were not disappointed! amazing food, ridiculously friendly and outgoing staff; we loved every moment there. such a warm atmosphere. is created with the chefs and drink mixologist all so passionate about what they're making, the ingredients they're using and where they're coming from, and the stories tied to the food; they're all about the food you're about to enjoy because they enjoy it themselves. my mind was blown by the flavors exploding across my palette. can't recommend this place enough!

fleshitarian. this menu is the farthest thing from vegetarian. even the vegetable sides are cooked in duck fat and with crab. the idea that this restaurant is continually recommended by people in this city to vegans and vegetarians is frustrating. the inclusion of a juice bar does not satisfy my need for a good dinner.

went here around 2:30-3:00 pm on a sunday. there was a short ~10 minute wait to be seated, which leads me to believe that during the main meal times there is a significant wait. i assume it has indoor tables, but we were seated outside, which was fine because we were hungry and the weather was tolerable.

i ordered rose lemonade and the breakfast plate, which had sweet potato biscuits with boudin patties, truffle grits, and crab boil poached eggs. i really enjoyed the truffle grits and thought they had a great flavor. however, i can eat grits plain, and my father said he didn't notice much flavor when he tried them, so take that how you will. i did not notice much flavor difference in the crab boil poached eggs from regular poached eggs, but they were still good. the sweet potato biscuits with boudin we're just a touch disappointing. they were still good, but i expected them to be better. nothing about the biscuit's flavor said "sweet potato" to me, and combined with the boudin, it made for a mouthful that would've really benefited from some sort of condiment.

the rose lemonade was weird, like drinking perfume. i guess i should've expected that. it wasn't bad, but i wouldn't order it again.

my father ordered the duck sausage po-boy. i got to taste a piece of the sausage and couldn't tell the difference from regular sausage. my father didn't rave about the po-boy, but he also didn't rant about it. considering he's new orleans born and raised, with very specific ideas about po-boys, that's probably the best outcome one could expect for a restaurant like this.

for being in the french quarter, it's reasonably priced. new orleans is short on places where you can take vegetarians/vegans, especially if they want to eat more than salad and you still want meat, so this is a good option to keep in mind.

we had the tofu poboy and sausage appetizer. my student didn't like the greens on the poboy, but i liked it. the star was the sausage platter. i think their selling point is the duck sausage. it was good, but a bit too much fennel. the boudin was fire. i wish i could have it daily.
