some restaurants might panic when a group of 12 suddenly shows up. not green goddess. we were welcomed and seated quickly. vegetarians have many options, a bit of a rarity in this city. the food was affordable and amazing. it's definitely included in my dining plans for my next visit. for large groups it is best that everyone have cash even though cards are accepted. separate checks are not available.

the green goddess - is a restaurant in the french quarter which has outdoor seating arrangement. it is in the small lane in exchange pi tucked away in row houses which resembles a french colony

been here for a weekend lunch. had to wait at least 15 minutes to get a table. what interested us to try this place is for the vegetarian options it offered because my friend whom i was with is a vegetarian

we were pleasantly surprised to see this dish in the menu - rolled uttapam and jumped on to order it. it's a crepe rolled with tomatoes, onions, pepper etc with vegetarian gravy and tamrind chutney. it tasted find however a confusing dish - lack of clarity what they wanted to offer

the other dish we ordered was a burrata roll. its a sandwich with cheese and salad. not a bad dish, would i order again probably not

the service was laid back and slow. it is over pricey for what they offer

we enjoyed our lunch at cafe carmo so much that we decided to try another new orleans eatery with vegetarian options. read my review of our tofu, meat, and seafood dishes at green goddess after the jump. lemongrass tofu breadless po boy with a side of creole kalethis was the vegan dish for me. i loved this. the tofu has a lot of flavor, and it is crisp on the outside and soft on the inside. the creole kale is also nicely-seasoned without being spicy.

wow! this place was fabulous. very unique and unexpected flavored. we had the mole' mushrooms & the pork. oh, we sat in the hallway too as this is a tiny place.

the best meal i’ve had in new orleans was not a greasy po-boy or a heartburn-inducing etouffee. instead it was a plate of flaky sweet potato biscuits lathered in delicious mushroom gravy with a side of mouth-watering manchego cheese grits at green goddess. be sure to add the duck eggs as well. the only downside to the restaurant is the small location, which led to a short line when i was there. however the food and friendly service makes it well worth the wait.

loved the food!. food was really amazing! unfortunately we sat in a hallway, so i'm not sure what the atmosphere of the restaurant was. a warm evening sitting outside would probably be really great, but definitely the food was worth sitting in a hallway to eat.

gluten intolerant not a problem. recently traveling to new orleans in a city known for its wonderful food full of many flavors and styles this restaurant will not disappoint. but for those of us with dietary restrictions it can often be a challenge . . . well not here! i am gluten intolerant and my companion is vegetarian, wait staff were very helpful in telling us our many options and the dishes were had were truly amazing to say the least. this eatery also uses local produce and vendors when possible. make sure you check them out when in nola!!!

great food. my wife and daughter are vegetarian , i am decidedly not! we all found delicious choices on the very eclectic menu. from cheesy grits and pickled veggies to pork cooked to perfection. i wish i could have fit more. highly recommended stop , lunch with apps and a couple drinks under $60.00.

freaking awesome! little .... freaking awesome!

little bitty place with a phenomenol menu and the specials are super good.
i almost want to say bad things about this place just so you won't go and take my spot. but... i can't... too good. if you go and you don't like it, you should seek immediate medical attention...

a unique gem . . .. if you are looking for a array of flavors with interesting combinations then you are in for a treat. this place has some of the most unique dishes in new orleans. truly set apart from the normal cuisine you find in new orleans and very good. the cocktails are also unique in style and fantastic. the service has improved since it first opened. perfect for dining outside on a beautiful day or evening. very small in size and outside seating is usually preferred.
