what a shame! restaurant with goodfoodbut with horrible service. it begin with just trying to add your name to the list. we waited 45 minutes. and it would not have been a big deal if they were organized and actually sat people in the order they came.foodwas tasty but service at the table was horrible as well. as soon as we sat we were delivered soap grease water that tasted terrible. it took 45 minutes to get ourfoodwhen we ordered an appetizer, salad and sandwich! we will not be back!

chef chris remembered that we had been overcharged for a beer last time so abe’s southern pecan (one of the best he’s ever drank) was on the house! my diet creme was delicious, as well – sipped on between many many many bites offoodshared amongst the table.

thoughtful, creative cooking and dismal service. after waiting an hour for our cocktails, which were delicious and well-crafted, we proceeded to receive some of the worst service in the whole of our combined experience. when alerted to the fact that we had been sitting for over 45 minutes with nothing on the table, the waiter came to us and informed our table that he had completely forgotten to put in our order- cocktails and all. no real apology was given and we then received our cocktails, appetizers and entrees all within 10 minutes or so.

thefoodwas thoughtfully created. mr. pickles had the korean- cajun pork special, which was beautifully presented and very tasty. i had the fish special, which was also very good. the cheeses were very nice; it was the best aged gouda i've ever had and the red pepper tapanade was artful and flavorful.

but back to the service. when the time came to settle the bill we halfway expected that something would have been automatically taken off given the long and unapologetic wait but it was all there. no mention of the inconvenience at all. we nicely asked that the cocktails, for which we had waited an hour, be taken off the bill. that's when the waiter snapped. he was indignant and rude and argued that this request a huge burden on him. he pulled up a chair and sat, arguing with us, stating that we were, "really putting the thumbscrews on him." the cocktails were ultimately taken off the bill, though we did not see ryan again.

unfortunately, i will never return to the green goddess. thefoodis very good, thoughtful and creative, but nofoodis worth service that bad. period.

could have liked it.... i purchased a restaurant.com gift certificate to the green goddess and tried to use it but they don't accept them, so that money went down the drain... they had a sign that said they didn't accept them but if they were smarter they would take it off restaurant.com's website. thefoodon the menu looked crazy different and i wish i could have tried some of it. it looked good! most of the seating was outside and it was crazy hot that day so after not accepting the gc we decided to check some other places out that had some ac

with a visit here being on the top to-do for this city, we were not disappointed! amazing food, ridiculously friendly and outgoing staff; we loved every moment there. such a warm atmosphere. is created with the chefs and drink mixologist all so passionate about what they're making, the ingredients they're using and where they're coming from, and the stories tied to the food; they're all about thefoodyou're about to enjoy because they enjoy it themselves. my mind was blown by the flavors exploding across my palette. can't recommend this place enough!

some restaurants might panic when a group of 12 suddenly shows up. not green goddess. we were welcomed and seated quickly. vegetarians have many options, a bit of a rarity in this city. thefoodwas affordable and amazing. it's definitely included in my dining plans for my next visit. for large groups it is best that everyone have cash even though cards are accepted. separate checks are not available.

the best meal i’ve had in new orleans was not a greasy po-boy or a heartburn-inducing etouffee. instead it was a plate of flaky sweet potato biscuits lathered in delicious mushroom gravy with a side of mouth-watering manchego cheese grits at green goddess. be sure to add the duck eggs as well. the only downside to the restaurant is the small location, which led to a short line when i was there. however thefoodand friendly service makes it well worth the wait.

loved the food!.foodwas really amazing! unfortunately we sat in a hallway, so i'm not sure what the atmosphere of the restaurant was. a warm evening sitting outside would probably be really great, but definitely thefoodwas worth sitting in a hallway to eat.

gluten intolerant not a problem. recently traveling to new orleans in a city known for its wonderfulfoodfull of many flavors and styles this restaurant will not disappoint. but for those of us with dietary restrictions it can often be a challenge . . . well not here! i am gluten intolerant and my companion is vegetarian, wait staff were very helpful in telling us our many options and the dishes were had were truly amazing to say the least. this eatery also uses local produce and vendors when possible. make sure you check them out when in nola!!!

the restaurant itself is small and a bit stuffy with an area in the back corridor of what seems like the entrance of a residential building/law firm. the service was good. but then again, we were the only ones there when we arrived. the menus is simple with a variety of veggie options for those vegetarians that have a hard time findingfoodin the french quarter.  neither the count or i are vegetarians and therefore opted for the  grilled pork and shrimp bahn mi  and the  cuban sandwich . while waiting for our lunch to arrive i was becoming more and more skeptical as the place really did not seem clean. i’m sure if i snuck in the back i would find enough to turn me off. but what you can’t see doesnt hurt you…. i guess. perhaps the grimy state of

kinda quirky. but thefoodwas scrumptious. i had the daily soup, with boudin sausage. the definite highlight of the meal, however, was the bacon, praline sundae. yes, bacon and pralines and whipped cream and ice-cream. i'm not really one to take pictures of my food, but in this case, i had to. wanted to make it the cover of my christmas card -- it was so worthy.

i think i know why so many people have claimed service issues at this place. while waiting for my food, i observed waitresses doing the job of bartenders, expos, busboys and hostesses. it is a small restaurant with only about 8 or so tables, so i guess maybe they would hire more ppl if it was bigger. thefoodportions are small and price is higher than expected, but it was good.

green goddess is my favorite restaurant in new orleans, and i recommend it highly to anyone who loves goodfoodand has an open mind. i ask for the open mind because gg is not a traditional restaurant. it doesn’t follow rules or fit in boxes. i can’t tell you what kind offoodit serves, other than that it tastes great. the ambience can be described as awesome. helpful, no?
