very nice spot.... okay...i'm reviewing reviews that i didn't review and i totally forgot to review this both times i went. so this is another retroactive review.
friendly tavern is friendly. being a transplant to indianapolis area, i made it a conscious decision to break out and go to as many "safe" and "accepting" places as possible.zionsvilleis supposedly suspect in this regard...but this place was very nice and the servers were witty and helpful.
the first time i had the turkey reuben and a glass of lemonade. that reuben was great!
the second time i had a prime rib hoagie...wow! i was as full as a tick off that. very good!
the 3rd time i had picked up a friend from outta town and she was hungry. she was staying with friends in carmel and so i took her here and she demolished their turkey burger. i'm pretty sure it was good! lol. i had already eaten so i just have the apple dumpling with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. yummy!
the friendly tavern is a friendly place and they have very good food!
