the friendly tavern

other than how salty the pork tenderloin was - and the fact that you are literally sitting on top of one another in some places in the dining area - i'd say that my overall experience at the friendly tavern was very favorable. some people may like the saltiness of the tenderloin more than i did, but i couldn't deny how moist and tender the pork was in the sandwich. theservicei had was attentive, friendly and prompt. i couldn't ask more for my experience at the friendly tavern other than less salt in the breaded pork tenderloin.

my husband and i have gone to this restaurant numerous times and always had goodserviceand good food. however, our last visit was not pleasant at all. terrible service, especially the waitress, and the food was way overcooked. is there a new manager or cook? this last visit puts a question mark in my mind if i will ever return or recommend, as i have numerous times.
our waitress was especially bad. the restaurant was busy, but not packed, as there were empty tables. our waitress continually ignored our table, constantly serviced and chit chatted with the table next to us. our meal took forever come to the table and i ordered a medium rare burger, and received a well done dry burger. waitress never returned to our table to inquire if we needed anything or how our meal was. we had to wave her down to even get our check, and again, had to wait for her to pick up our credit card so we could leave. very disappointed!!

best burger in town!. i remember this place from several years ago. i was doing some work in town and stopped in for lunch. recently i stopped in and found that the nice lady that ran the bar was still there! this place has a great burger and frys! goodserviceand very friendly. all out burger with buffalo chips!

delicious. we saw the friendly tavern listed in the indy food guide we received for working the super bowl.
we decided to try it one night after we were finished.....and haven't missed a weekend since.
theserviceis supurb and the owners are super friendly!

visited a couple of weekday lunches.servicefairly quick, standard pub food and atmosphere. only downside is local parking can be a pain.

the friendly has very good tavern food for very reasonable prices. its usually very busy so drinkservicecan be pretty slow. however, if you are like me and in your 20's, or even look young, you kinda get dirty looks by the locals, and dont expect to have more than 2-3 beers before they give you the check and expect you to leave. good food spot, bad drinking spot.

great service! great food!. theserviceis sooo good. we went to (but will never return to) oobatz up the street and theserviceat the friendly tavern blows them out of the water. the food is great too!

best in zionsville!. great food, fair price, goodserviceunless packed which is understandable. can't beat the daily specials. the best wings anywhere! broasted not fried. if you are looking for low fat, fofo food, forget about it. go to one of overpriced $5 cup of coffee of dives.

quite possibly one of the best hamburgers i've ever had. greatserviceand nice pub atmosphere.

great food!. the friendly consistently serves great food at a great price.serviceis always......well.......friendly! i've never tried the hot wings because i just can't move beyond the fried chicken wings--they are fantastic! i recently ate there for lunch and had the half sandwich/soup combo. the bread was fresh and overflowing with chicken salad and the tomato soup was flavorful. all of this for just under $6! i would recommend this place to everyone. it's worth the wait.
