if you are ever in saint augustine, do yourself a favor and come here. the restaurant has nice decor and the patio is very welcoming. we had he griddle cakes which were good, but the meat and potatoes really stole the show. i have never had such a flavorful and delicious meat and potatoes dish, it had seasonal veggies and shrimp also, and i have never had such deicious garlic mashed potatoes anywhere. the shrimp and sausage rice dish was also good, the local sausage was super yummy. the service was outstanding and the portions were also large. the key lime cheesecake was good, nothing too special. and the southern gentleman whisky drink was also incredible. i highly recommend this place to anybody looking for agooddinner.

great food in st augustine.goodservice, inventive food, great flavor combos that pleased both vegan and meat eater alike. we were in a party of 6. long wait for the table but once seated the service was great even though the restaurant was packed. really nice menu had something for everyone at the table; not an easy thing with the group we were with. it is notable that everyone at the table which included two locals were first timers and they all agreed it was their favorite restaurant in the area... and it was a great value to boot!

good but you can do better elsewhere around here. i had the "signature" shrimp and grits and it wasgood- but nothing to write home about. catch of the day was flounder for $24. seriously? local junk fish you catch from a bridge for $23? i can get fresh maine lobster for less than that in washington dc! sweet tea isn't sweet and the menu is very limited. while i say i "liked" it, i will likely not go back. there are just too many better options available.

no so good. just came in to town this early evening and popped in here to get dinner. would not recommend. the fish wasgoodbut that's all. atmosphere lacked. everything was served in and on plastic. cheese grits had obviously been sitting all day. just wouldn't waste my time.

incredible food! we ate here for dinner while vacationing in st. augustine and it was our favorite restaurant. i had the fgt hoagie with tofu and it was hands down the best veg-friendly sandwich i've ever had. the house made vinaigrette wasgoodtoo. my husband had the dixie burger with pimento cheese: excellent. we got a chocolate cupcake with peanut butter icing to go. it was a great dining experience; interesting, eclectic decor and nice ambience. my only complaint would be our server was rather brusque, but she got the job done. we will be back next time we're in town!

want to go back. solid entrees, laid back atmosphere,goodmusic,goodlocation, courteous service. can't really say anything bad about this place. one of the better meals my wife and i have had, and we paid less than $60 with dessert and tip and all!

good southern interpretation.goodfood. southern with a twist. had the market fish. fresh and cooked just right. not a goat cheese fan but the cheese grits grits were great and without the goat taste. wanted one of their desserts but too full. would go back.

service was a bit lacking, but in defense of the server, she had the entire patio to herself and some inside tables too. i had the citrus pork chop and it was great. i had to step to the back of the restaurant to the bar in order to get my glass of wine because i was told they could not deliver it to the table. there is a church across the street and that apparently is the "rule" or "ordinance" for the city. the atmosphere is great and i had agoodtime. i will try another restaurant in town next time however.

zucchini linguini and clams is a must try.i couldn't keep my kids out of it. this place is a local gem. no fuss justgoodfood.

incredible food!. i chose the floridian during an overnight stay in st. augustine based on urbanspoon and was so happy i did. the atmosphere was very cool but more importantly the food was absolutely amazing. the waitress and bartender were both really nice. the food was sogoodthat we actually tried to eat there again the next day before we left town but were unable to. ignore any poor reviews, this place is phenomenal.

one of the best meals of my life! every morsel was exactly asgoodas the last. soup, appetizer, entree, sides & desserts were all amazing. i do not say that lightly. it was totally worth the wait to be seated. do not skip the sour cream apple pie. amazing!

cool. reallygoodshrimp and gritz,goodservice,goodsurroundings, one negative the tofu served to my date had gone bad. it must have been expired or something it tasted like sour milk. other than that all good
