iftar menu.

they presents two menus during ramadan. for dhs175, guests are treated to dishes such as chaat, batakh salad, gunpowder prawns, chicken makhan malai and more. the second package, for dhs130 per person, serves a smaller  menu featuring dishes such as caribbean goat curry, butter chicken and dal moradabad.
dhs130 for five-courses, dhs175 for extended five-courses.

batakh salad.

a refreshing tangy salad a perfect combination of variety of greens topped with mustard lime dressing and shredded duck. too good.

dal moradabad

the dal moradabad is a perfect combination of yellow split mung lentil served with pakwaan crisp and their signatureindianchutney. for tantalizing your tastebuds mix it all up and enjoy the delicious feast.

gunpowder prawns.

jumbo prawns cooked in butter and garlic mixed with gunpowder masala for a perfect burst of flavor.

chicken makhan malai.

simply loved this one soft and succulent boneless pieces of grilled chicken topped with creamy sauce. a perfect mouthwatering treat.

butter chicken.

i was never a fan of butter chicken but this place truly deserves an applaud for serving the authentic taste. not so sweet not so tangy a perfect balanced butter chicken curry. rich and creamy perfect in taste. served with multigrain naan. truely outstanding.

caribbean goat curry.

slow cooked goat meat cooked with a blend ofindiancurry masala and some veggies which made it a perfect wholesome meal.

malai kesar sundae.

ended my meal on a sweet note a perfect treat to satisfy your sweettooth craving with beautifully presentedindianversion of kulfi served with tutti futti base topped with ghevar lattice. a must try.

🇮🇳🤩 today's business lunch was a joy at new restaurant @thecrossingdubai at h hotel szr near dwtc. they opened in january and are already accumulating some impressive reviews thanks to a quite unique "cross cultural elevatedindiancuisine". the crossing is fully licensed and has stylish chilling cabinets displaying the best wines to accompany their a la carte and other speciality offerings. there's a beautiful long bar where they serve cocktails. check out the lush green garden terrace that looks so inviting. i'd say this is the perfect venue when you're looking for a decent meal and a contemporary, calm vibe! 🥰

indian culture is as immersive and immense as it’s culinary. you will bring back all your nostalgia from your family recipes, showcasing just how diverse we are as a country, and how crisscrossed our culture is!
recipes from the kitchen of historic rulers to the contemporary grammable food for the millennials, there is just everything on their menu.

the iftar menu was also indicative of the celebrations of our diversity. some recipes from theindiancoastline like the gunpowder prawns served with melt in mouth homemade pav
(my very fav) to theindiansaag, the whole menu is split between small plates, grills, grains and curries, it’s designed so that you can try a bit of everything.

available for aed 130 & aed 175, both a lavish five course menu, my favorites were:

dal moradabad
gunpowder prawns
chicken makhan
butter chicken
malai kesar sunday

special mention to our server lucy who was the warmest and most accommodating to our request.

many thanks to chef arjun for he came specially to meet us and add on his personalized touch by sharing his travel stories and culinary journey with crossings

always on the lookout for decentindianrestaurants which offers great ambience, a rich culinary experience, without compromising on taste.

the eclectic spread harbors cultural diversity within its cuisine, not only from itsindianroots but also other parts of the world.

starting with your dates and laban, onto your starters containing dal moraddabad which is a burst of flavor in your mouth , onto the gun powder prawns, chicken makhan malai & ending with their creamy malai kesar sundae that’ll take you to cloud 9.

if you want good food without a doubt, this is where you should be headed next !!

🤔 i dunno where to start. but to be honest, whether you're anindianor not, but you do enjoyindiancuisine, you will not eat anywhere else after visiting the crossings.

i was so excited to try their dishes for the first time together with friends. first, the cozy ambience is awesome, you enter and you your eyes will be greeted by a wide variety of bottled wines displayed on the shelves to make start anticipating what you're getting into😁.

we had chaat, dal moradabad, ragi khoozh, paneer tikka, chicken makhab malai, mangalorean chicken, mango curry, saag, dal crossings, thalassery biryani & some selection of breads.

all the dishes that went down into my belly were all wonderful but you all know that every where you go, you must have your favorites & mine were the chaat, dal moradabad, paneer tikka & the amaaaaaaazing mango curry which you can have it with rice or my favorite bread, the 'mangolorean' bun.

i'm sorry guys, i got carried away by these dishes right from the first bites and i couldn't go ahead taking photos of the remaining dishes. i even missed to take a photo of my top favorite mango curry🙈🙈.

a big shout out to the manager and his team of chefs and amazing service staff. see you guys soon, as i look forward to trying other items on your menu.

shukriya 🙏

a nostalgic take on fusionindianfood & drinks with an ambient outdoor & indoor space in @thehdubai something for every spice lover with dishes catering to multicultural palettes. refreshing & a perfect fusion of east & west is how i would express my experience. loved the cocktails, grills and mains. we had the gunpowder prawns, chaat for starters, paneer tikka and seekh kebab for grills. for mains we had the goat curry, manglorean chicken curry and keema fried rice. the curries are absolutely a walk fown memory lane without being too heavy on the stomach. our favorite dessert is the daahi boondi. overall extensive menu for any palette type. can't wait to see what they have coming up for ramadan & summer for tasting menus and sharing platters. they have valet parking also
must visit 👌

i was travelling from london to dubai on business and went to 'the crossing' at h dubai on my last evening.

the restaurant is at the ground floor of h hotel dubai - chic décor and the lighting is just right. lovely bar with a great selection of new and old wines.

but the true winner is the absolutely delicious food. i was famished after a busy day at work and ended up ordering quite a few bits - all the starters and the mains were simply mouth watering.

special mention to the gunpowder prawns and mutton pulao which was just heavenly.

definitely coming back again and it's hard to now haveindianfood anywhere else after 'the crossing' experience.

never hadindiancuisine before. this experience was
amazingly good. the starters were tasty in so many ways,
the main dishes had so many flavors and the dessert just
left me speechless. never knew frozen yogurt could be as
good as they make it, even had a beautiful story behind it
which our albanian waiter explained to us while he was
mixing everything. the whole staff was professional and well
mannered. 10/10 would recommend to anyone who has
never triedindianfood cuisine before. 11/10 would
recommend to those who have, it'll be your to-go spot from
the first visit.

just came after a sumptuous & delicious meal at the crossing ! i can safely say that its the bestindianfood one can taste in dubai. apart from the fresh look & feel, ambience & personalized service that was just next level, it is the food that truly blew us away ! everything we were recommended was par excellence from the starters(prawn gun powder, chaat) , to the mains(meat pulao, raan, lal maas, mutton curry, butter chicken and a special mention for the dal makhni .....all absolute musts to try! and despite not having much room in the belly after such a elaborate spread , we just had to see what they had up their sleeves to please the sweet tooth & complete an exquisite meal .we went ahead with two recommended desserts and my word, were they delightful ! and to add the icing to the cake , we did not feel heavy or uncomfortable well after the meal like one can after eating indianfood outside of one's home. that goes to show they have managed to make tasty food without it being too rich in oil , butter & spices. definitely going back to try the dishes we could not have just in one outing!
