if u cand find a better burger than at vera's, let me know , because they are the best i have had so far!

ordered vera burger and fries and enjoyed my meal. the burger was juicy and nicely flavoured and the bun was right size (not too much bread to overwhelm the patty); while the fries were meh.

if comparing the vera burger to other places, the hintonburger and the urban cowboy burgers are much better; but it was nice to try somewhere different.

used to be really good, now i wonder about the training and attention of the staff. i had a smoked meat sandwich and they drowned it in dijon, it was inedible..had to throw it out since i was at work when i opened it. they also forgot to add the pickle side i'd put on the order. just very incompetent.

vera's burger shack is dirty dirty dirty deliciousness! fresh meat provided by the butchery. customizable burgers cooked to order. it's is a perfect way to experience meat coma. do not forget to taste the chocolate milkshake!

burgers are great and very fresh with lots of topping choices. not at all a place for fries, they were ok but failed to impress. burgers are a bit more expensive compared to other local places but certainly worth it.

their burgers are hands down the best in the city. basic topping options. price is fair. fries are meh. they serve a great burger if that's what you're craving!

love love love this place. they make everything fresh and it's worth the wait! the milkshakes are the bomb! it's a vancouver company and its only getting bigger and better! they now have dinner options wednesday to friday nights before 9:30!

they sell raw meat and make raw sausages in addition to burgers. asked to buy what's left of the turkey sausages (about 6). they said there was so few left because the meat arrived late the day before. i thought that meant the sausages were made that morning, so when they found more in the back, i bought them too. that should've been my clue -- they were selling me stale sausages that they were about to throw out. i got sick from eating them. unscrupulous people with no morals!

words cannot describe. after my first vera's burger today, i can say that i've lived a full life and now can lay me down to rest. what a party in my mouth, as the burger melts in my mouth the way ice cream does. i have never tasted anything like it and will be sure to return.

watch the labelling on your meat. while i have always enjoyed the butchery i don't get out to bells corners very often.
i doubt i will go anymore however because my last trip was... disappointing? i prefer to give the benefit of the doubt except, the staff behind the counters know their product and their codes very well...
so, last time when i got home and saw that the beef i had purchased had been labelled and charged for as if it were lamb, i was quite upset. there is a significant price difference! i bought multiple items and it was busy in the store with a lineup at the cash so didn't review the receipt and pricing until i got home.
i doubt this was an accident since as i say, the people behind the counter at this place know what they are doing.
so, just saying - - - make sure you triple check what they are charging you for! i felt really shocked and like they had tricked me when i got home. in spite of the numerous great experiences prior to this one bad experience, i will very likely avoid this place in the future unless i need something i can't find elsewhere. it's disrespectful to your client base to trick them or try and overcharge for meat.

sloppy service and overdone burgers. went yesterday and was disappointed with how long it took to receive my food (waited ~5 minutes to receive my burger after it was placed on the bun)

best butchery in the ottawa area. recently i used the butchery in bells corners to cater a party. they were very helpful in selecting the menu and gave me a great tip about heating up the smoked meat (in a pasta strainer over a pot of boiling water). we did have some leftovers but we were very happy about this. i would recommend this store for quality and service.

honesty, one of the best burgers i've ever had. the spicy turkey sausage was super delish as well! downside, a little pricey...

waaaay overrated. i heard good reviews, so i went to check it out. i waited almost half an hour for my burger and fries. they were very expensive, so i hoped for the best. the burger was overcooked, and the fries raw. after that long wait i couldn't believe the fries weren't cooked. i won't be back, i can make far better myself and for 1/8th of the price.

outstanding food!. it is really hard to be critical of a duality of attribute found in a good price and superior quality of either the burger or sandwich located at this facility. i am very impressed with its cleanliness and flamboyantly enthusiastic staff during lunch hour rush not to mention while waiting for food exists a wonderful opportunity to shop the butchery (beautifully cut and displayed meats guys!). my only complaint is seating, but in comparison to the food and service i think i will overlook it. my hat off to anyone brave enough to eat the double burger!
