the butchery / vera's burger shack

used to be really good, now i wonder about the training and attention of the staff. i had a smokedmeatsandwich and they drowned it in dijon, it was inedible..had to throw it out since i was at work when i opened it. they also forgot to add the pickle side i'd put on the order. just very incompetent.

vera's burger shack is dirty dirty dirty deliciousness! freshmeatprovided by the butchery. customizable burgers cooked to order. it's is a perfect way to experiencemeatcoma. do not forget to taste the chocolate milkshake!

they sell rawmeatand make raw sausages in addition to burgers. asked to buy what's left of the turkey sausages (about 6). they said there was so few left because themeatarrived late the day before. i thought that meant the sausages were made that morning, so when they found more in the back, i bought them too. that should've been my clue -- they were selling me stale sausages that they were about to throw out. i got sick from eating them. unscrupulous people with no morals!

best butchery in the ottawa area. recently i used the butchery in bells corners to cater a party. they were very helpful in selecting the menu and gave me a great tip about heating up the smokedmeat(in a pasta strainer over a pot of boiling water). we did have some leftovers but we were very happy about this. i would recommend this store for quality and service.

perfect steak... every time!. i think people writing reviews are confusing the butchery with the now attached vera's burgers?
anyways, we've been going there for a long time! well before they moved down the plaza! i honestly don't see the point of buyingmeatat the grocery store anymore! their beef is the most amazing you can get anywhere around here! the chicken breasts are huge and usually feed 2-3 people depending on your appetite!
i love that i can buy only what i need and never have to havemeatin my freezer! no waste!
the staff is super knowledgeable and friendly and fast! best prime rib you can buy and they'll even tell you how to cook it if you're unsure. i usually just tell them what i'm making and they tell me what to get and how much.. can't go wrong! they even ask you if you want leftovers!

my wife and myself shop here once twice a week and find the service fast and very efficient some of the best cuts ofmeatin town. summertime.

i think i had them put everything but the kitchen sink...and ketchup...on mine. it was fabuloussss! themeatwas tender and juicy, cooked perfectly all my veggies were crisp and i loved the snap that the banana peppers added to my burger.

for a whole $3.99 you get a monstrous deli style sandwich with your choice ofmeat(turkey, smoked turkey, red rare roast beef, roast pork, black forest ham and smoked meat), bread (richmond bakery dark rye, light rye or bun), toppings and a beautiful kosher style brined pickle. be careful though, because you order at the delimeatcounter and it can get crowded they do make sandwich mistakes. i'
