have eaten here 3 times while on vacation. i wholeheartedly agree with bacb. food is average. not a stand out. other places are better. has a great outdoor space. but can get crowded and service is only average and can feel pressured at times.

the black marlin is terrible. the service was lacking, the menu was limited, and the food was bland and greasy. how this restaurant got to # 1 i don't know. avoid at all cost.

great location tucked back into a little off the beaten path. drinks were cold, food was light and delicious. services was ok, waitress was a bit cold and the one waiter threw food in front of you with out allowing time for you to clear a place. other than that i'd go back again, had the fried shrimp and flounder. very light breading not greasy at all, awesome sweet potato waffle fries. try it !

even though it says this restaurant has a view of the beach it is hard to see unless you have on of the few tables that are not obstructed in the view. the food was good. i love seafood and their fried clams were very well prepared. the breading was very light and the clams were not over cooked. i had the grouper and grits. the grouper was flaky and the grits complimented the grouper perfectly.

after reading some of the reviews already posted, we were a little nervous...however, after actually just sucking it up and eating, we loved it! not too bad price wise, and loved eating outside! would recommend to anyone!

best happy hour. as a local i am always looking for the best deals and bingo black marlin! everything is always fresh and tasty!
the sushi nachos and blackend shrimp tacos are so amazing and at such an awesome price : )
only thing is the service is horrible!

went to black marlin on sunday...twice! the staff is so friendly and we just really enjoy hanging at the outside bar. jen h was bartending and so pleasant both times we visited with her! definitely one of our favorite places on the island!

this place was busy, a bit noisy and fun. i highly recommend the broiled seafood platter which also included oysters rockefeller. outstanding.

best seafood on the island. very good fish and it can all be cooked 5 different ways. you must try the sushi nachos. incredible.

would return. lobster roll was delicious! service was not the best - kind of curt actually. this place was fairly difficult to find, especially at night when the island has little to no street lights. very easy to miss turns. but it was worth the searching.

went for lunch. crab cakes were fantastic. had the lunch combo with a fish taco: taco great, house salad average. would go again.

made a reservation through opentable and we were seated immediately. the service was extremely slow and not attentive at all. the food on the other hand was very good. i suggest the bayside stuffed flounder and the sweet heat maui maui. the seafood chowder is also very good
