black marlin features a regular menu of favorites, a daily-specials menu, and of course, their prix fixe menu. when what i wanted was nearly the cost of the prix fixe menu, i decided to get more bang for my buck.

service was fine. fish @ shrimp were great- light crisp batter. coleslaw was pulverized fries ok but little seasoning would have been nice & hushpuppies would have really been nice

great food, great drinks, great view of the sound. went for sunday dinner and was surprised to have no wait, though it was 5:30. we sat on the terrace overlooking the docks and sound.

great food! we had the raw oysters to start, followed by fresh wahoo, low country boil pot, and a great selection of interesting and local brews. kids had a great time too.

the fish was really fresh, cooked in a orange teriyaki glaze, done just right. steamed broccolini was among the best i've had. though not known as a raw bar, the oysters, caught nearby in the sound were reasonable. they also had some gulf oysters which were nice, not too salty.

service was prompt, friendly, helpful, and attentive.

a great little find, worth a short drive. you should also try the hurricane bar.

great patio..other reviews said service was bad but i thought it was fine... skinny pina colada or georgia peach both with a grand mar floater will ser u free!! :) awesome drinks..shrimp artichoke dip was just eh..but fried shrimp oysters and scallops were great with some really yummy slaw...i'd for sure come back!

bottom of the serg group. serg group operates some of the best restaurants on hhi. this and a few of their others represent the bottom feeders of their restaurants

alwaysgood. we had dinner here 7/25/11. as usual, very busy. food is consistently good, service friendly, atmosphere is relaxed. the outside dinning is among the best on the island. the entrees were good, the fresh fish selections were very good. we go here every year and have never been disappointed.

hellish experience. was there last week. waitress spilled a full glass of water on our table, then disappeared! water all over the place dripping on the floor, so we had to stand up with our plates of food. food was very cold by the time it was cleaned (about 10 minutes). they took a whopping 10% off bill and manager told us he would not charge us to replace the meal that was soaked! have been referring people there for years..no more! have never been treated this badly!

excellent. have eaten here once before loved it. we took friends helen and billy last night and they too said it was excellent. the appitizer to the main course was outstanding will definately be back to eat. just moved to bluffton trying out restaurants the black marlin is on top of the list

fantastic!. my wife and i had a phenomenal dinner here! aside from lima beans as the vegetable of the day (there is a reason that other restaurants don't serve it) everything was great. even my wife, who does not eat seafood, loved the sushi nachos! we will definitely be back!

ron. one of our favorite places. the wait staff is good and the place has good food. the crakin crab events are really good and some of the profits $$ goes to charity.
only place with better seafood is roastfish and cornbread.

great food, horrible service.. if you're big on service, don't go. the food was good - the taliapa tacos were average, but the shrimp and sweet potato fries were very good. our waitress though paid no attention to us.
