great location tucked back into a little off the beaten path. drinks were cold, food was light and delicious. services was ok, waitress was a bit cold and the one waiter threw food in front of you with out allowing time for you to clear a place. other than that i'd go back again, had the friedshrimpand flounder. very light breading not greasy at all, awesome sweet potato waffle fries. try it !

best happy hour. as a local i am always looking for the best deals and bingo black marlin! everything is always fresh and tasty!
the sushi nachos and blackendshrimptacos are so amazing and at such an awesome price : )
only thing is the service is horrible!

so good i forgot to take photos! second time i've been here and they never disappoint. highly recommend early bird menu, terrific options for much less. this time i had 6 oz steak with grilledshrimpand seasonal veggies and it was mouthwatering. plus their bread basket is delicious.

fun outside bar atmosphere. recommend friedshrimpand baja fish tacos. do not recommend the seafood chowder or theshrimpand artichoke dip.

my husband and i enjoyed our dinner. the bar staff was very attentive with great happy hour specials from 4-7 pm. while we waited for about an hour, we enjoyed the parmesan-spinach-crab dip which was served hot with tortilla chips. for dinner i chose the sea scallops on the daily special menu. they were the best i have ever eaten, seasoned with browned butter, lemon and bits of pecan. the grits were delicious as well. my husband had the friedshrimpand scallops. they were very fresh and lightly battered. the wait staff was equally attentive. we would eat here again!

loved it! we had the sushi nacho for app, seafood roll, lobster tacos, friedshrimpand scallops dinner, and kids friedshrimpdinner. everything was awesome. best seafood roll outside of maine!! tito's mule is a great drink. fast and friendly service. no complaints!

go for the fish and nothing else. overall it is a decent enough place, they cook fish well, shell fish ok but they cannot cook meat. the family ordered the whitefish special that night, the fried shellfish platter and a new york strip. as i said the whitefish was well cooked seasoned well and overall tasted great.the fried shellfish well the scallops were very overcooked theshrimpwere nice and the lobster tail wasn't anything to write home about but was good enough. the problems came with the steak, which was our third diners only choice seeing as he wasn't in the mood for fish and every other choice had a chance of being cooked with or in the same device as shellfish which he was allergic to, he couldn't even have fries because apparently they are cooked in the same fryer as the shrimp. any way the steak itself was poorly seasoned and grilled to hell, it was ordered as medium and we went as far to ask the waiter what they prepared medium as which he said pink throughout. when it came it was cut down the middle and no pink was to be found nor pinkish, just well done dark grey throughout. in short go there for great fish but don't order off their land menu

not so much. i'm okay with a tourist seafood spot that has okay food and a great view, or great view and okay food... unfortunately, i thought this place had mediocre food (at best) and absolutely no view except the cross-bay bridge. we went for lunch and had a mix of things, oyster poboy,shrimpburger, fish tacos... and nothing particularly interesting. unfortunately, while you assume this place has great views of the inland waterways, it really doesn't.

service was fine. fish @shrimpwere great- light crisp batter. coleslaw was pulverized fries ok but little seasoning would have been nice & hushpuppies would have really been nice

great patio..other reviews said service was bad but i thought it was fine... skinny pina colada or georgia peach both with a grand mar floater will ser u free!! :) awesome drinks..shrimp artichoke dip was just eh..but friedshrimpoysters and scallops were great with some really yummy slaw...i'd for sure come back!

great food, horrible service.. if you're big on service, don't go. the food was good - the taliapa tacos were average, but theshrimpand sweet potato fries were very good. our waitress though paid no attention to us.

walked in not expecting much on a sunday am. was hoping for a brunch buffet but they just had menu orders. was pleasantly surprised though, casual place but had a great breakfast.shrimpand grits were wonderful as was the quiche special for the day. good place, will certainly go back.

sunday brunch. the black marlin is off the beaten path but worthy of your discovery. located in a marina complex, this is a favorite happy hour haunt for locals and their dogs. if you have the chance, sit outside under the sun or under the tiki torches. they have live music and specials in the summer and can get busy.

the sunday brunch is fabulous with interesting selections such as the bananas foster french toast andshrimpand grits! if you are a bloody mary fan, they have a few innovations for you to choose from. the staff is very attentive and friendly. great atmosphere.
