tequila's town mexican restaurant

thisplacewas not as impressive as i had though it would be. the drinks were great but the 45 minute wait was not really worth it! the dining area was loud and overcrowded. the food was underwhelming and overall, not noteworthy.

atmosphere is fun but loud (wood floors don't help noise). the salsa they bring with the chips is excellent. fresh cilantro and lots of onion flavor. i couldn't help myself from ordering the queso with chorizo. it is very flavorful with just a touch of spice (favorite dish of night). my picky 6 year old even liked it. i usually order a coronarita at mexican restaurants. this one was served in a pint glass instead of margarita glass and was just ok in taste. i would try a different margarita next time. i ordered the tacos el pastor (marinated pork) which is new to the menu. they were dry and not spectacular and i probably wouldn't order again. they were loaded with cilantro which made them fresh tasting. they have a kids menu which includes chicken fingers and smiley fries which made my daughter happy. service was not great (saturday night). i wanted another drink but server never came back before bringing the check. they make guacamole table side so you know it's fresh, but i didn't order it this time. it is probably best mexican downtown but if you want best authentic mexican in area then flacos tacos in pooler is better (albeit a small takeoutplacewithout real seating).

loved their salsa! theplacewas so cute and right off broughton. all my food was great. niceplaceto relax and eat and get back to shopping.

this was a great eating experience. located just a few off blocks off bay st. and obviously a local fave. food, drinks and service were all great. considered to be a margarita snob, the wife gave thisplacetwo thumbs up

wow. ok being from texas i was more than concerned when my sister said she wanted mexican food for dinner. i thought she'll be disappointed bc its not what she is used to. well we picked thisplacefor no particular reason and boy i'm glad we did! guacamole is excellent, beef fajitas excellent! when we told our waitress we were from texas, she explained that her family was also opening aplacein texas. i think they will do just fine there!

weve been there three times now because the food is so good. only mexicanplacein savannah that gives everyone at the table their own salsa (like a real mexicanplaceshould). i've had three different meals there all were great... my favorite was "coctel de cameron", the flavors were amazing. reasonably priced, highly recommended.
