we went mid week. did some wine tasting first and then had the meal. loved the food, great wine and attentive but not over bearing service. it is on the pricier side for the wineries but once in a while or for an occasion i'd definitely recommend it!! we will be back

it’s not difficult to understand the attractiveness of the mornington region to tourists. if beautiful beaches, hot springs and bushland are not enough, let’s introduce a hatted restaurant shall we? this elegant dining setting provides fine-dining cuisine amongst a beautiful cellar and vineyard setting. wine tasting is also available for the wine lovers. visiting in autumn, the winery was abundant with the colours of fall and adorable lambs prancing amongst the foliage, now that i think about it… i hope they weren’t eaten. nevertheless, ten minutes is a shining beacon of the mornington region, having been nominated for best regional restaurant in the past, this certainly is no run-of-the-mill winery. come to ten minutes for an indulgent dining experience, and enjoy the views as well!

ten minutes by tractor just misses the mark. the food is 'okay' - not great - and the service is abundant but neither genuine or warm. the plating is for posers, so food bloggers and photographers will be delighted. the dessert was admittedly very good.

the impression that i left with was an average meal that just didn't warrant the price tag, especially not in a region with some great food option. it's a place for the pretentious, not the hungry.

they need to get over themselves and present a more genuine offer.

ten minutes to some snobbery.. extremely snobbish and borderline rude service. it doesn't matter how many "hats" you have next to your name - this does not give staff open run to adopt the we're better than you attitude, which ruined what was a well presented and for the most part delicious meal. absolutely appalling. the "friendly atmosphere" must have been reserved for the age critics.

expectations not meet.. we dined here to celebrate our anniversary. we had the degustation with matching wines. while the food was good it didn't blow our minds. the presentation was nice but was expecting more with the flavours and style of cooking plus the wine match was all wrong. with the amount we spent we expected something a bit more. maybe we have high expectations.....

a total comedy of errors.. from a very snobby welcome, to a dirty table, to a a dish so cold which could have been a main or a dessert, to the kitchen running out of food, to being told that our card had been declined, when in fact it was someone else's card and the staff didn't notice, almost making us pay for another table's meal without apology...to finally be able to leave the restaurant 3 hours later to drive somewhere we could actually get something to eat, this is the comedy of errors that was lunch at 10 minutes by tractor.

i having heard good things about the restaurant, i took my folks there for sunday lunch. when we arrived we were informed that since we had only booked a table 1 month in advance we had to sit at this table in the centre of the room, with no table cloth ( the only one in the entire restaurant) that had clearly not even been wiped. we complained and after been told we should have booked earlier by one of the waiters and that we couldn't move tables, the manager stepped in told the waiter to "just let them have it". trying to put our disappointing welcome behind us, we went on to order. two of our party opted for the 5 course degustation menu and my mother ( being vegetarian) and i opted for the 3 course a la carte menu. the degustation went ok - no complaints, but the events that followed were a total joke.

my mother ordered the pumpkin gnocchi, when when they arrived they were cold, to the point that dish had turned slimy and inedible. we sent the dish back, only to be advised by the waiter, that there were components of the dish that they had run out of and, would we mind if they added something else in place of that specific component. we said fine. 10 minutes later the manager comes to the table to inform us that there were in fact no gnocchi left either..

having waited over an hour for the main course, being offered cold food ( which we are very surprised was even allowed to leave the kitchen), having to wait a further 10 minutes while watching others eat, only to be told that what you ordered was actually not available and that you would probably have to wait longer still for another dish to be prepared, my mother gave up hope of eating a main meal and opted to go straight to dessert.

the dessert was ok, then it was time to finally pay the bill. to their credit, the never charged us for my mother's dismal meal. however after paying the bill the waiter runs over saying that our card had been declined...we went to pay the bill and just before putting the pin number in the machine, one of us noticed that it was for a difference figure to the bill we had initially paid. when queried, the waiter ran off and returned only to tell us that it was in fact not our bill, and not our card that had been declined...without apology ( that we nearly paid for a meal that wasn't ours) off he went again. we left soon afterwards with an icy 'goodbye' from the manager to go find some food for my mother.

truthfully we can't fault the food that did arrive, it was nice, and there was that comedy factor to the whole experience - we will certainly have a funny story to tell. but will i ever go back to eat there?...not a chance ( i have no idea why it has 2 chef hats). would i recommend the restaurant to my friends?...no. why would i when in that area there are much better restaurants.

wonderful!. three of us had lunch here to celebrate my birthday. food and service were excellent. every dish beautifully presented and prepared. we opted for 2 courses and dessert each and each had 2 glasses of their own wine which was very good. the quality of the food and wine was excellent. and, pleasantly surprised by the bill as well. thoroughly recommend and such a beautiful location. also loved the store and picked up some some beautifully packaged gifts and their own olive oil. just perfect. thank you.

delicious. dined a little while back & really don't know why we haven't been back since!
food was immaculately presented, flavours sensational & service pretty good. only thing when i asked if they had a cocktail list then said they didn't however when i was given the beverage list there was a cocktail list inside. a touch confused.
i would also recommend that when patrons are still in the restaurant not to iron down table cloths until they leave:(
however a fantastic afternoon with a beautiful view also.

just superb. being pregnant, menu choices are often limited and bland but at ten minutes the kitchen altered the menu to be "pregnant friendly" and the food was packed full of flavour. awesome service, awesome food and will definitely be back again!!

i gave a friend a hard choice “you’re coming from brisbane for the weekend and i am taking you wine tasting. for lunch do you want fancy or not fancy” she replied “ fancy”. so i booked us all in a ten minutes by tractor. i have fond memories of visits to the winery many years ago and many a good memory and a few lost ones from their delectable wines! it’s has all changed a bit down in mornington and at the winery. mornington wineries seem to have gone crazy for tasting fees, a crazy concept of charging happy, touring punters to taste a sip of wine or two. generally refunded on any purchase it seems an unnecessary barrier to the enjoyment (and purchasing) or great wines. not a problem for me, i will happily take home a bottle or two if they are good! at ten minutes by tractor everything is looking very fancy indeed, a very cosy fire greets us as we enter and we a greeted by one of the team who confirms our table booking and recommends we have a tasting first if we like. coats are taken

excellent. i have been here twice now - once for dinner and the other for lunch. the food is stunning, staff were excellent and went the extra mile to help us out on the night. this is by far the best meal i have ever have. great for special occasions. i only wish i lived closer so i could go more often.
