authentic indian family dinning!. finally pensacola has an a quality indian resurant. it reminds me of the great indian restaurants in the jackson heights section of new york.

new to this type of food? no problem, the owner will tell you about each dish.

i love a taste of india and recommend it to without reservation.

first time. this was my first experience in eating indian food i went with my husband who has enjoyed it for years. tho i wasn't very daring and stayed on the mild side, my husband dove right in. the place was nice and the people (owners) were very helpful with the menu. they made sure we were comfortable and we were enjoying ourselves. we will have to make a point of returning - soon.

great food! star star star. great staff at taste of india. you are treated very courteously and as though you are the only one there. it has been quite some time since i have had service like that. my wife and i had the korma curry, coconut curry and tandoori chicken all were fantastic! if you haven't tried this place in awhile i would try it again, apparently there has been a change in owners and management so those who are weary might find a pleasant surprise awaits.

try it!!!. i found this restaurant online and saw that it had a vegan menu. i rounded up a couple of friends to go eat at taste of india, some of my friends were telling me that they didn't know about the place--some of them never ate indian food before. when we got there we got a seat immediately and the owner/workers were all talking to us and were very hospitable. when the food came out, it was some of the best indian food i've had and everyone was full quickly and just wanted to keep eating. our waitress before we ordered even helped us pick out what went good with the meals we all got. it comes with rice and bread. at the end of our meal they even gave us dessert on the house. when we all decided to go our separate ways, half of us took a taxi and the workers there were even kind of enough to give us a ride back. all of us soon agreed that wasn't going to be our last visit to the taste of india. i don't know about the lunch buffet but the dinner there was really delicious.

i was so disappointed last sept when you moved to pcola:(
i tried "beyond india" at the ramada where you used to be years ago, and it was just okay, nothing special. i kicked myself for not knowing you were back! i will visit and enjoy the wonderful dishes you serve soon!!!

i went to taste of india because i had heard wonderful things about them. and i was definitely not let down. the staff was attentive and the food was excellent. i would highly recommend trying the mango lassi and the chicken tools masala. you also have to get a naan bread with the meal. it completely tops it off. we also has there homemade mango ice cream which was to die for.

love it!. the best indian i've had and i've tried indian in d.c., denver, and hawaii. flavors are fantastic, naan is excellent. since moving away, i still crave their veggie korma. sometimes you can feel rushed by their overly-attentive service but if you go enough, they eventually get to know you and will offer you free drinks and will talk with you while you wait for your food. i really miss this place and hope if i ever go back to pcola, it's still there.

i'm still craving that chicken korma! and the service was great, too!. i read the reviews for this place before i went, and i was a little worried about lousy service. however, when i went with my best friend and my boyfriend, the service was excellent, even though the place was pretty packed. our servers were very attentive and quick!

now, the food. one caveat: i've only had indian food twice before, so, i'm no expert. my friend order the curry and the raita. she liked the curry, but the raita was definitely not to our taste (i tried it too). but if you like really tangy soupy dishes with funky textures it might be up your alley. if not, play it safe and avoid this.

my boyfriend ordered the lamb curry (with medium heat, since this was his first experience with indian food). he didn't care much for the curry aspect and the spiciness (he should have ordered mild), but i tried it, and i loved it. i'll be having it for dinner tonight since he said it was too hot for him.

and finally! the chicken korma (medium heat). iate it last night and got stuffed before i finished. i woke up this morning craving it. after i ate it for lunch, i'm still wanting more! this stuff is amazing! my tablemates tried it and also agreed that it was the best dish at the table. i highly recommend this dish!

also, the garlic naan we ordered was like icing on the cake!

simply divine jeeru chicken & lamb vindaloo. we haven't liveed in savannah for over eleven years now, but taste of india is still our favorite indian restaurant. the service is heart-felt, and the food is full of wonderful flavor. their ingedients are always fresh and the experience very consistent. would highly recommend to get off the river and head out towards the mall one night for a great, reasonably priced dinner.

great offerings!. an indian friend suggested taste of india as the better ofthe two indian restaurants in the hostess city. she was dead on! first, the menu is rather large and offers many items you simply can not find at most indian joints one page of breads alone, lots of breads. i stuck with the plain nann which was very thin and not heavy, a great vehicle to pickup your food. my main was the goat (bone in) and spinich. fantastic! whole cardamon seeds, great flavor, an the perfect portion. this is a must dine if you seek indian food here.
