vastly improved. some years ago i wrote a very detailed negative review of this place when it was on cervantes. reluctantly i recently decided to give taste of india another chance at its new location for dinner. the experience was so far from my previous experience. the gentleman (owner or manager) was affable, knew the menu, and made us feel right at home. absolutely impeccable service. the food tasted fresh and delicious. we had the gobi manchurian (to freaking die for!), bindhi masala, and gobi aloo. while "indian spicy" was not as spicy as i anticipated, the heat level was still very pleasant and i cannot complain; i certainly don't need my head blown off to enjoy a meal. the prices are reasonable. if you are like me and were turned off by an experience you had when this place was located on cervantes, you owe it to yourself to give the place another try.

out of consideration for taste of india (and at my own initiative), i have since deleted the aforementioned negative review since it no longer describe taste of india as i come to love it.

life changing. let me start this review off by saying, i used to loathe indian food. i had been to a few places, tried a few things, and none of it was all too tempting. customer service-wise, this restaurant really knows how to impress. they remember their customers, they give great advice as to what to order, they don't keep you waiting, all the while they don't keep asking if everything is ok. in my honest opinion, good customer service isn't asking every 5 minutes if everything is ok. they should be confident enough to know that it is.

two of my favorite dishes from taste of india include the rogan josh and the lamb vindaloo. if you have a taste for all things spicy you can even get their special ghost pepper sauce on the side. fair warning though, it will make you sweat. i honestly can't say enough great things about this restaurant. if you have a craving for the exotic and the delicious, be sure to stop by. side note, if you like masala chai, they sell the spices on the side, which they mill themselves in house.

good indian dine out. ordered a veg mulligtwany soup and chicken soup. both were good with exception of coconut flavors in mulligatwany. entree were placed for to go which included saag paneer and for appetizer samosas. food was good non oily.
as a complimentary starter the fried papad was too oily. but the green chutney was really fresh. service was good. ambience quaint indian feel. overall nice experience.

best indian food i've had. we had the chicken tikka marsala and the chicken vindaloo with garlic naan. absolutely outstanding flavor, with very high quality meat.reasonable prices, at about $12-14 per dish. very friendly owner as well. i'm in the military and probably my biggest regret about having to move from pensacola will be leaving this place behind! it's by far the best indian cuisine i've ever had.

flavorful!. had the lunch buffet today. this is not a fancy place, but the service was great and the food was awesome! very wide assortment of dishes to try, and i can honestly say that there was not one thing that i didn't like! because i had to try everything ;-) a flavor explosion in my mouth!

so good. i decided i would step out of the box one day and try indian food for the first time. i saw the good reviews and decided to try this place. it's so delicious! i would definitely recommend going for the lunch buffet. i eat here once a week. it's one of my favorites. the owner is very polite. give it a try.

the food, atmosphere, and staff are all amazing. they are always willing to help you with the menu if you have any questions. the owners are some of the nicest people i've met in this town. i always try to come as much as i can! i recommend it.

delicious!. i have never been to taste of india before but plan to return again and again after my experience last evening! i ordered the curry goat bhoona and it was absolutely devine! the portion size was enough for me to have for dinner tonight too! the flavors were wonderful, goat was tender and delicious. we also had an order of garlic naan.....yummmmmmm.
service was excellent and a gentlemen (probably owner) came to our table to ask if we needed help with the menu. that was how i decided on which curried goat to order. looking forward to more great dining experiences at tastee of india!!!

really delicious indian food, best in the area. i have been to other indian restaurants in the area, one in navarre that's now closed and another one on 9th avenue, i would say taste of india is the best indian food i've had. my wife had the chicken tikka, we had garlic naan bread and i had the goat curry extra hot. food portions were very large, great flavor, very spicy and pricing was excellent. owner came out to greet us and was very friendly to us, would definitely recommend for something different in the area, we will definitely be returning.

the best indian food in town!! i've been all over the us and i can tell you that i am happy they are in pensacola, it's hard to find an indian restaurant that can capture the distinct aroma, flavors, and luxurious texture of rich indian food that the taste of india can. i got my husband and friends from colorado hooked on their food. i've tried to cook the traditional indian way, and it is difficult. way to go! i crave you regularly.....

great food. my wife and i have traveled and lived everywhere and always look for good ethnic eating establishments. we have had the buffet and the dinner meals on several occasions and love this restaurant. we are particularly fond of the chilli chicken generally available on weekends. food is great, service is wonderful, going back tonight.

the best indian food in town. the best indian restaurant in pensacola. we've tried the other indian restaurants in town and we had wasted our time and funds. there are plenty of choices....try the buffet and you will not be disappointed. love it!

best indian in town. best in town by far (not nearly as greasy/oily) as other places. i'm not fond of their new physical location, but they seem to have upgraded the menua and the food is better than ever. bhindi masala is excellent. the chili paneer also is great. they run specials that offer something new and different. we eat here at least once a week.

amazing food. the food at taste of india is fantastic. i loved the chicken tikka masala and adored the chicken tandoori. taste of india is the only place in pensacola that is worth getting indian food from.
