satisfied customer!. great restaurant with a warm and welcoming atmosphere! the food is delicious, and i have to give it up to the owner who knows what he is talking about with his food. i've had indian food many times before, and i can say this has been the best experience yet!!! the owner was a great and took the time to recommend dishes to us, the sukha maas and butter chicken are phenomenal. the naan was fresh and hot and the lentil rice cakes were amazing! theservicewas fantastic and after our meal he came back over and asked if everything went well. theserviceis great and staff is very customer caring and friendly. i will definitely be back over and over again!

best indian food in town!!!. we were on a vacation and ate here. we made sure we came to the same place again before we left. the food was wonderful and the owners were very friendly. i could see them moving around lively helping out people who are new to indian food. theservicewas timely and fast. i'm indian and i tell you this food is authentic and delicious. couldn't ask for more. i loved all the chicken receipes especially. a memorable experience.

good find. friendly staff, greatserviceand a wide variety of excellent food. i was impressed that they honored my request for mild seasoning and for "as little oil as possible." all around great experience. i would go back.

however, i've gone for dinner and for the lunch buffet, and it's truly tasty. a great option if you're looking for something different. my hubs can't handle anything too powerfully spicy, and they had options for him as well. you always get an appetizer with your meal (at least, this was my experience). naan came with the buffet and fritters with dinner.
anyhow, buffet selection isn't wildly large, but it should do the trick and fill you up. i'd recommend giving it a try.

some ups and downs left us with mixed feelings but overall, they're alright, okay.

samosa's were a real treat as was the chana even though it was a good bit spicier, hotter than what we're used to without ordering it that way. asked about adding potato but for whatever reason they were unable to it. garlic naan was meh, something we really look forward too.

onserviceissues, i think because the ownership sat us and took our order, the other servers and wait staff sort of ignored us not knowing who's table it was leaving us feeling a bit awkward and unattended. well, except for food and the check.

asked for water a few times and went without it for so long it ruined anything about the experience for me. actually had to get up and sort of demand it after realizing how ridiculous it was to be eating onions from the indian salad to hydrate myself. ack!!

there were enough other fiddly things to prevent me from rounding them up to a four, but a three is okay.

we went to taste of india on a friday night around 9:30pm, because on this app it says it closes at 10pm on friday nights. however, when we got there, we were informed by a group of people standing outside the restaurant that they close at 9. i walked in, a little stressed, just to check with the hostess to make sure. he said they were closed and i said, but online it says you guys close at 10. another man came up (i believe he was the owner) and saw that i was stressed and said we are closed, but could i offer you take-out? i replied yes, that would be great. the owner completely took a bad situation and made it into a great one. even though they were closed, taste of india graciously served us! greatserviceand great food! there needs to be more restaurants like this one!

went there last night to order take out. theservicewas absolutely amazing! from the lady (sorry i forgot your name!) explaining all the dishes to us to the food. i ordered the lamb curry and naan bread and i'm still finishing it today! big portions for a great price: $$. i'm satisfied with everything and i will be back for more!

my husband and i love indian and this place was great! the food was authentic and fresh! i got the chicken tikki masala and was delicious! my husband got goat curry and was very good as well. his was more spicy but not too hot.serviceand atmosphere was wonderful! great place

life changing. let me start this review off by saying, i used to loathe indian food. i had been to a few places, tried a few things, and none of it was all too tempting. customer service-wise, this restaurant really knows how to impress. they remember their customers, they give great advice as to what to order, they don't keep you waiting, all the while they don't keep asking if everything is ok. in my honest opinion, good customerserviceisn't asking every 5 minutes if everything is ok. they should be confident enough to know that it is.

two of my favorite dishes from taste of india include the rogan josh and the lamb vindaloo. if you have a taste for all things spicy you can even get their special ghost pepper sauce on the side. fair warning though, it will make you sweat. i honestly can't say enough great things about this restaurant. if you have a craving for the exotic and the delicious, be sure to stop by. side note, if you like masala chai, they sell the spices on the side, which they mill themselves in house.

good indian dine out. ordered a veg mulligtwany soup and chicken soup. both were good with exception of coconut flavors in mulligatwany. entree were placed for to go which included saag paneer and for appetizer samosas. food was good non oily.
as a complimentary starter the fried papad was too oily. but the green chutney was really fresh.servicewas good. ambience quaint indian feel. overall nice experience.

flavorful!. had the lunch buffet today. this is not a fancy place, but theservicewas great and the food was awesome! very wide assortment of dishes to try, and i can honestly say that there was not one thing that i didn't like! because i had to try everything ;-) a flavor explosion in my mouth!

great food. my wife and i have traveled and lived everywhere and always look for good ethnic eating establishments. we have had the buffet and the dinner meals on several occasions and love this restaurant. we are particularly fond of the chilli chicken generally available on weekends. food is great,serviceis wonderful, going back tonight.

fantastic indian food!. i have been dining at taste of india for over 4 years, their food is excellent!! they are at a new location on gregory street which is close to my home and work and i love it!!! the people are very friendly,serviceis very good, the lunch is buffet-style but what a buffet!!! i can't say enough good things about this place, you've just got to try it for yourself!! highly recommend!!!!!!

best of south. i work in a gulf-stream, i travel around the world and love ethnic food i wanted to give a try to taste of india, i was there last sunday and they were pack, we were group of four people the host told us it will be 10 min waiting so he offered some indian beer we enjoyed that on outside patio, i have ate lamb chops recommended by the server, the best dish ever i am in love with taste of india my other pals loved a lot. i decide i will visit taste of india every time i come to savannah. bestserviceand decoration.

i went to taste of india with a group of friends last night and we were all very impressed with the food and service. the staff is friendly and welcoming. i appreciated that they understood that most of us had no idea what to order or how to pronounce the dishes. they were very helpful, patient, and informative. the staff seemed to be genuinely concerned with providing us goodserviceand ensuring that we were happy. the food was absolutely delicious. the servings are large and are pass around style, so you can sample a bit of everything. i would recommend taste of india to anyone wanting to try something new and delicious. we will absolutely be back!
