tan thanh vietnamese is a surprise little find in inala. i have only tried a few places and most are pretty good. the walk to tan thanh is interesting as you can easily miss the alley you have to take to walk there. it looks like a small store but once you walk in, it is quite expansive with more than plenty of tables! i went during the week and there was already most of the first level with people seated and eating.

we ordered some meals and also some entrees. i was told that the deep fried wontons were delicious. and i have to agree in that they are delicious! they are crispy and packed with plenty of flavour. i ordered the egg noodle soup with wontons and bbq pork. the broth was nice but the wontons and bbq pork really made the dish! the give huge slices of the pork and they are very tender! there is plenty of flavour in the soup and it has pork crackling adding to the deliciousness! if you can manage to finish the meal then you did better than i! the vietnamese iced coffee complimented the meal perfectly. everything is very inexpensive so you can leave with both a full stomach and a full wallet.

came here lastnight with a small group as we come here quite frequently, we wanted to introduce some friends to it, as they hadn't been before.

i am vietnamese myself, and this is my favourite vietnamese place to eat in. i think the ingredients are authentic, and have never had a bad meal.

last night i got the egg noodle soup with seafood, as did my friend, and the boys got the ricepaper rolls with pork balls, and added some sugarcane prawn on the side as extra. its always so funny watching them try to roll the rice paper, and make a mess haha

we pretty much cleaned all of our plates as we do every time we come here.

it cost $62 for all 4 of us to eat, which is amazing! the rating is really good on zomato and i can see why.

there are lots of vietnamese people eating here every time we come, which just shows how good it is.

cant wait to go back again next week!

the special beef noodle soup (pho) from tan than is a favourite of my partner's. the serving size is more than generous for the size. i have tried the chicken pho as well, but it was not a favourite of mine. the combination rice which is a serve of pork chops, broken rice and egg comes with a nice and light sauce. the sugar cane juice is freshly squeezed and is refreshing. great place to try some authentic vietnamese pho.

regular. favourite vietnamese restaurant in inala, service is fast and you can get a main and drink for around $11. you can't pass on the pho or the vermicella with grilled pork, both delicious.

bad restaurant. the kitchen is so dirty, last time we came there i saw the lady sit on the ground, next to the bin and made spring rolls, the servants was rude and always in hurry, while the male owner chatted away with the other girls servants, floor is very slippery and greasy. never come back after that incident.

the food is great! the service is great! but they really need to thoroughly clean the floors, especially near the windows. old food scraps have been overlooked and have been there, rotting for quite awhile it seems. it may not affect the food directly (i hope) but would attract vermin and is enough to put you off your meal. it's a shame. such a great place that i have recommended to many people. i won't be going back unless it gets cleaned up.

2 out of 4 visits , i found hair in my food.
uncomfortable.
received a replacement dish, just noodles and soup, missing the main protein that i had originally ordered.
felt ripped off. bad experience.

tân thành is not the sort of place to take a girl out to a special celebratory meal (unless she’s a viet-crazed foodie), but what it lacks in ‘ambience’, it more than makes up for in quick service and i’m-so-full-but-want-more! flavour.

one of my favourite places for pho - and the best if you like a lighter but more fragrant soup. really good value too at $10 a bowl. also love the combination broken rice and rice vermicelli salad with pork balls. the service is fast and efficient. also has a nice drinks selection. if you want the best pho in town make sure you visit inala!

i fully liked it here because it was the first food i eated outside for a long time. mother putted me in the big building with the ladies wearing the green uniforms because i always showed the peoples in the park my helicopter and also i poked the dog poo with the stick. so the ladies with the green uniforms gave me the medicines until i stopped feeling like poking the dog poo with the stick. the food inside the big building always tasted like i remember the school bully’s poohole, but the food in this place was the best soups i ever eated and they gave you the green leaves to put inside the soups which made it taste even better. it was really good and that.

tan thanh is one of the most popular vietnamese restaurants in inala. we visit for a soup noodle lunch recently. service is a tad slow with the obvious staff shortage due to the virus.

my poached duck & mung bean soup noodle is a signature dish and it is always satisfying. the generous serving of duck pieces, chewy mung bean noodles and hot flavoursome soup makes this a delicious meal.

phuong tran’s bun mam is served with a hot anchovy soup and she is reasonably happy with this meal. we always leave this restaurant satisfied. thank you guys!
