i've been going to this restaurant for the past 20 years since i was a kid. the combination broken rice has definitely stood against the test of time, and still tastes just as amazing. they do a really good pho too, but lacks some toppings compared to other joints. serving sizes are big, and you will certainly walk away with a full belly and a full wallet! prices are relatively cheap and you'll certainly get bang for your buck.

some of my friends told me that the standard of this restaurant has been reduced so checked it out yesterday for lunch.
upon arrival, there were plenty of spaces there because only three tables were occupied.
owner explained that he has to keep the social distance of his customers due to the government advises so only accepts certain number dine-in customers.
we placed a traditional combination rice, a steamed duck salad with vermicelli and a steamed pastry. honestly, i don’t think it is the food production declining but the service is definitely is. maybe it is the stress from covid 19, hospitality businesses needs to keep their service if they decide to carry on their trading. isn’t it right?

i’ve been here numerous times now and i’ve never been disappointed, especially reading reviews originally.

i love my pho and wonton soup and seeing the staff making the wontons fresh by hand is great knowing all is fresh and not in a packet.

plenty of options on the menu, drinks great too, cheap. can be very busy at times but all up 5 stars every time.

very fresh food, good prices. one of the best việt places in medeco.

however their menu still has old prices - $1 less than the current prices. foods great, pho and any noodle dish are delicious.

shrimp cake is terrible………shrimp is sooooo small… beef pho is good. but today is 36 degrees, and they only open one a/c , which made the restaurant extremely hot. after lunch, i was sweat. it’s really toooooo hot inside. i just don’t know why they have four a/c but they only use one. besides, a lady which serves us was really impolite. i asked her which sells best bcz i never been here before, and she was so angry and said every dish sells best. but beef pho tastes good.

have been dining here for the past ten years and the food was consistently good and service was always prompt (even when the restaurant is full). the combination broken rice is the best in brisbane and over the past ten years they have only increased $0.50 in their meal price.

authentic vietnamese food within inala, large portion at a reasonable place.
meals were great and the menu offered a variety of vietnamese dishes from soup based to rice dishes as well as beverages and desserts.

walking in on a saturday afternoon for lunch the restaurant was packed! i ordered a combination beef noodle soup pho and it was quite nice. the avocado smoothie was well made as well. the only reason i've rated this place a 3 star is because it lacks customer service and we waited 45 minutes for our food. besides that, i would rate the food here a 4 out of 5.

this our go to place for vietnamese food as it is close by near home, my family enjoys eating out here. food is reasonably cheap, which is enjoyable.

after a disappointing visit to the poorly organised inala food trail (as part of the brisasia festival) we decided to eat at the ever-popular tan thanh.

atmosphere: bustling. furniture a little old and browning.

service: abrupt and uncaring.

food: on a par with its price (was cheap for pho by brisbane standard). i had the beef pho with tendon. soup was plain and luke warm in temperature (not hot enough to par cook the bean sprouts and herbs). noodles were ok. beef was reasonable. tendon was tender enough.
we also had the rice noodle rolls with shredded pork. the rice noodles in the roll were undercooked(or not soaked long enough). the pork was well seasoned.

verdict: below par overall. value for money was poor.

yum! we dined here for lunch and ordered the classic pho noodle soup and combination pork chop. the broth of the pho was delicious and full of flavour. the combination pork chop was also very fresh and tasty. the place gets very busy yet service was prompt.

i had lunch at tan thanh yesterday, the place is smallish and tables are close together. i ordered spring rolls and also the crispy skin chicken with rice. the spring rolls were a little overcooked but the crispy skin chicken was reasonably nice.
