this is one of our longstanding go-to places for vietnamese cuisine, particularly pho, in inala. we made another visit for a weekday dinner.
we ordered the combination rice vermicelli, my tho style egg noodles, combination broken rice and broken rice with pork chops. as well as sam bo luong.
the combination broken rice was very good - well-grilled and moist pork chops, good egg omelette and included all accompaniments of pickled vegies, runny egg, pork rind and cucumber.
the rice dishes also came with a side bowl of hot broth, which was a bit too salty.
the combination rice vermicelli was alright - with good combinations of spring rolls, sugar cane prawn, grilled pork, noodles and salad. i felt the grilled pork in this dish was a little too sweet though.
my companion thought the egg noodles were good albeit didn't contain enough protein.
the sam bo luongs were refreshingly cool, however were very sweet!
casual ambience. very quick and efficient service. prices very reasonable.
overall, despite the minor salty/sweet faults on this occasion, a staple of vietnamese cuisine (and cheap) - would recommend broken rice dishes and the pho.
