thefoodis great! the service is great! but they really need to thoroughly clean the floors, especially near the windows. oldfoodscraps have been overlooked and have been there, rotting for quite awhile it seems. it may not affect thefooddirectly (i hope) but would attract vermin and is enough to put you off your meal. it's a shame. such a great place that i have recommended to many people. i won't be going back unless it gets cleaned up.

i fully liked it here because it was the firstfoodi eated outside for a long time. mother putted me in the big building with the ladies wearing the green uniforms because i always showed the peoples in the park my helicopter and also i poked the dog poo with the stick. so the ladies with the green uniforms gave me the medicines until i stopped feeling like poking the dog poo with the stick. thefoodinside the big building always tasted like i remember the school bully’s poohole, but thefoodin this place was the best soups i ever eated and they gave you the green leaves to put inside the soups which made it taste even better. it was really good and that.

some of my friends told me that the standard of this restaurant has been reduced so checked it out yesterday for lunch.
upon arrival, there were plenty of spaces there because only three tables were occupied.
owner explained that he has to keep the social distance of his customers due to the government advises so only accepts certain number dine-in customers.
we placed a traditional combination rice, a steamed duck salad with vermicelli and a steamed pastry. honestly, i don’t think it is thefoodproduction declining but the service is definitely is. maybe it is the stress from covid 19, hospitality businesses needs to keep their service if they decide to carry on their trading. isn’t it right?

have been dining here for the past ten years and thefoodwas consistently good and service was always prompt (even when the restaurant is full). the combination broken rice is the best in brisbane and over the past ten years they have only increased $0.50 in their meal price.

walking in on a saturday afternoon for lunch the restaurant was packed! i ordered a combination beef noodle soup pho and it was quite nice. the avocado smoothie was well made as well. the only reason i've rated this place a 3 star is because it lacks customer service and we waited 45 minutes for our food. besides that, i would rate thefoodhere a 4 out of 5.

after a disappointing visit to the poorly organised inalafoodtrail (as part of the brisasia festival) we decided to eat at the ever-popular tan thanh.

atmosphere: bustling. furniture a little old and browning.

service: abrupt and uncaring.

food: on a par with its price (was cheap for pho by brisbane standard). i had the beef pho with tendon. soup was plain and luke warm in temperature (not hot enough to par cook the bean sprouts and herbs). noodles were ok. beef was reasonable. tendon was tender enough.
we also had the rice noodle rolls with shredded pork. the rice noodles in the roll were undercooked(or not soaked long enough). the pork was well seasoned.

verdict: below par overall. value for money was poor.

breakfast before the grocery run on sundays is the norm. so today i was with 1 child and went to tan thanh, the place wasnt busy as it was around 9am.

chose our own seating and we given menus, since we had pho yestersay, decided to have some rice. so went with combination broken rice and a serving of rice paper rolls (pork and prawn).

customer service is like most vietnamese restaurants, non existant. but what they lack there is goodfoodat reasonable pricing.

i noticed that i had ordered before a few tables and they were getting their meals first, and what seemed like an eternity my meal came out. rice paper rolls with dipping sauce, the rolls were wrapped nicely. the sauce that goes with it was a little different, cant put my finger on it, but was not a fan.

the broken rice was on point, large serving, nice piece of grilled pork, egg, pickled salad, shredded pork and a pork cake. really enjoyed the rice dish.

our prawn rice paper rolls, grilled pork vermicelli salad and seafood noodle soup were freshly made and served in generous portions. their prices were reasonable. overallfoodwas pleasant, yet average. the soup had way too much msg. the three colours drink was refreshing and not too sweet as we had asked. loved the clean venue and fast service.

we went when it was nearly closing time and the service was lovely. thefoodarrived quickly and the 2 noodle soups we ordered were delicious! however the fried rice was very average. the drinks were amazing and not too sweet like many other places.

i have been here a few times now and always find thefoodyummy. i have even taken grandchildren here and they liked thefoodeven though they were nervous trying asian food. the only reason i didn't give this place 4.5 was i find it difficult to order as i don't understand what some of the dishes  are but do love trying new things
