the special beef noodle soup (pho) from tan than is a favourite of my partner's. the serving size is more than generous for the size. i have tried the chickenphoas well, but it was not a favourite of mine. the combination rice which is a serve of pork chops, broken rice and egg comes with a nice and light sauce. the sugar cane juice is freshly squeezed and is refreshing. great place to try some authentic vietnamese pho.

one of my favourite places forpho- and the best if you like a lighter but more fragrant soup. really good value too at $10 a bowl. also love the combination broken rice and rice vermicelli salad with pork balls. the service is fast and efficient. also has a nice drinks selection. if you want the bestphoin town make sure you visit inala!

i've been going to this restaurant for the past 20 years since i was a kid. the combination broken rice has definitely stood against the test of time, and still tastes just as amazing. they do a really goodphotoo, but lacks some toppings compared to other joints. serving sizes are big, and you will certainly walk away with a full belly and a full wallet! prices are relatively cheap and you'll certainly get bang for your buck.

i’ve been here numerous times now and i’ve never been disappointed, especially reading reviews originally.

i love myphoand wonton soup and seeing the staff making the wontons fresh by hand is great knowing all is fresh and not in a packet.

plenty of options on the menu, drinks great too, cheap. can be very busy at times but all up 5 stars every time.

shrimp cake is terrible………shrimp is sooooo small… beefphois good. but today is 36 degrees, and they only open one a/c , which made the restaurant extremely hot. after lunch, i was sweat. it’s really toooooo hot inside. i just don’t know why they have four a/c but they only use one. besides, a lady which serves us was really impolite. i asked her which sells best bcz i never been here before, and she was so angry and said every dish sells best. but beefphotastes good.

walking in on a saturday afternoon for lunch the restaurant was packed! i ordered a combination beef noodle soupphoand it was quite nice. the avocado smoothie was well made as well. the only reason i've rated this place a 3 star is because it lacks customer service and we waited 45 minutes for our food. besides that, i would rate the food here a 4 out of 5.

after a disappointing visit to the poorly organised inala food trail (as part of the brisasia festival) we decided to eat at the ever-popular tan thanh.

atmosphere: bustling. furniture a little old and browning.

service: abrupt and uncaring.

food: on a par with its price (was cheap forphoby brisbane standard). i had the beefphowith tendon. soup was plain and luke warm in temperature (not hot enough to par cook the bean sprouts and herbs). noodles were ok. beef was reasonable. tendon was tender enough.
we also had the rice noodle rolls with shredded pork. the rice noodles in the roll were undercooked(or not soaked long enough). the pork was well seasoned.

verdict: below par overall. value for money was poor.

breakfast before the grocery run on sundays is the norm. so today i was with 1 child and went to tan thanh, the place wasnt busy as it was around 9am.

chose our own seating and we given menus, since we hadphoyestersay, decided to have some rice. so went with combination broken rice and a serving of rice paper rolls (pork and prawn).

customer service is like most vietnamese restaurants, non existant. but what they lack there is good food at reasonable pricing.

i noticed that i had ordered before a few tables and they were getting their meals first, and what seemed like an eternity my meal came out. rice paper rolls with dipping sauce, the rolls were wrapped nicely. the sauce that goes with it was a little different, cant put my finger on it, but was not a fan.

the broken rice was on point, large serving, nice piece of grilled pork, egg, pickled salad, shredded pork and a pork cake. really enjoyed the rice dish.

pho (for or fuh)... however you say it. great tastingphois really hard to find in brisbane. i've dined in lots of places between the city sunnybank and the surrounds... let me tell you this place is a hidden gem. yes probably a rough place to bring your date or anyone in that fact at night but when you're craving for some of the love you want from a beef noodle soup this place nails it! it's definitely in-pho-getable
