this place is not a romantic spot but the food is great.  we come here often.  my grandson will often beg to go here.  he gets the diy rice paper rolls with grilled pork.  the kids love being able to make up there own rolls.  i love the grilled chicken with rice and their soups are also nice.  fast service.  kids love the milo drinks.  although not upmarket we often get cravings to go here.

we ordered goi cuon, bbq pork with rice noodle soup and seafood pho. it was sooooo delicious!!! the noodles were chewy, the soup was remarkably flavourful and the servings were generous! the rice paper rolls were not bad. the dipping sauce is nice, but if you want a spicy kick, add some sriracha.

quite casual and "authentic". excellent food and quick service despite how busy it gets. meals are cheap and decently sized. would come back here again.

located across the arcade from the probation & parole office (yes, we are in inala) tân thành resembles just about any other vietnamese eatery i’ve been to. glazed tile floors, high voltage lighting, blank walls and that comforting table caddy with condiments and eating implements.

this is my favorite vietnamese food resto. i came back to brisbane each year to eat their food. my fave foods here are the mix pho, combination broken rice, grilled pork with springroll vermicelli n sugar cane prawn. however their service is not as good as years before. our was so long and i have to keep asking about the food...apart from that food ss usual are delicious.

cheap meals with huge selection
fast service both dine in and takeaway
consistently amazing food!
venue is okay and can sometimes be quite busy because it's a popular place
no need to book to dine in, just walk in; you can order ahead by phone for takeaway orders.

having been here a few years ago, i remembered tan thanh as having great pho. i came again tonight with some friends and it was a disappointing experience. we ordered pho, lemongrass chicken & rice, pork vermicelli salad, fried rice and spring rolls. the pho was fine -- maybe not as amazing as i remembered but still tasty. i wasn't given any fresh chilli on my plate unfortunately. the vermicelli salad was not made from rice vermicelli -- it was pasta. the fried rice was obviously reheated in a microwave as it had a dry texture. and the spring rolls came with tomato ketchup as dipping sauce?! thankfully the meals were so cheap we didn't feel too upset, but will probably not be returning.

this place has amazingly delicious food with the added bonus of it being cheap. the downside? it's not the fanciest location and it's pretty shabby inside but if you can get past there, it's an amazing hidden gem in the southern suburbs.

i drove to inala to try their renowned chicken pho. broth was thick and on the sweeter side. chicken was on the bone which i haven't had like that before, the meat was very tender and delicious. the noodles were cooked perfectly too.
i don't think it is the best soup i have ever had but if you are in the neighborhood i definitely suggest trying it.

i cannot speak highly enough of this little gem on the outside of the inala civic centre. the food is fresh and delicious and it is very very reasonably priced. i visit this restaurant on a weekly basis and am yet to order anything i haven't thoroughly enjoyed.

this place is aways packed and be prepared to sit close enough to other tables to hear every word but trust me it's worth it! i highly recommend the combination wonton soup and prawn and pork rice paper rolls. so tasty!

best vietnamese restaurant in town. whenever i'm town, and i want excellent vietnamese food with all the trimmings without the fuss, tan thanh deliver. have eaten here over 30 times and never had a bad meal.

love their vermicelli with spring rolls and pork chop. amazing.

the place packs out quickly, even thought can easily sit 100 people(sometimes you'll end up elbow to elbow with strangers from all walks of life), they are continuously busy and food arrives promptly.

went to tan thanh at inala. it is seriously one of most authentic vietnamese restaurants in brisbane. if you're looking for authentic vietnamese food this is definitely the place you should try if you're in the south side. inside is more expanded with simple decor. there is usually a lot of people here since it's gained some popularity. the food is generally cheap. mains are mostly $10, like for a bowl of pho. and other stuff. things with fresh herbs, (mint, coriander, blah.) vermicelli, noodle soups, and rice. and also vietnamese drinks - and bubble tea.
