my fav restaurant. although its a small place, the food is delicious and extremely fast service. often in and out of therestaurantin 40mins. its byo and prices are cheap. i go there every week.

good for a bite to eat at lunch, can recommend going for the set menus as they're great value for money.  service is good and therestaurantis in a good location with plenty of parking available.

food was mediocre. tempura batter was too dense and oily. therestaurantenvironment was rather stuffy and had poor ventilation. i notice they get many of their orders through takeaways. that might be the way to go instead of a dine-in.

to begin with, i must say the food was good. therefore i recommend it. i'm not much into japanese food so can't judge this comparatively. we got there a little after opening and were the first ones in. only one other couple came and sat down for lunch. but thisrestaurantdid a roaring take-away. and that's the only reason i didn't give a 4 or more rating. we felt like we were sitting at a table in a take-away.

taku japanese kitchen is located on mandurah terrace right near the foreshore. it's a smallrestaurantwith alfresco sitting and basic decor. we had the teriyaki fish rice bowl and the miso ramen for lunch. loved the gingery sauce that was drenched over the big portion of rice for the teriyaki fish. the miso ramen came with crispy fried chicken which was great but i thought it had one too many bamboo shoots in the broth. the broth itself tasted good though! a nice japanese spot in mandurah

this would have to be the best value for money and quality foodrestaurantin mandurah. have been many times and the service and food is outstanding.

on arrival, we were greeted by the friendly staff and shown to our table. therestaurantitself is fairly small with only about 12 tables with simple table settings. the counter and open kitchen is situated up the back of the restaurant, with access to a viewing fridge for quick take-away sushi options. we were given menus to look over and a bottle of tap water until we had decided on our order. everything on the menu sounded great and even though our waitress was quick to take our order, we needed more time to decide as we wanted to try everything.

i love it!. i've been to a lot of japanese restaurants in perth but taku is one of my favourites. it's a small family ownedrestaurantand the atmosphere is just so relaxed and welcoming. the service is fast and the food is always great. the prices are cheap compared to other restaurants and you get so much food! i always end up taking left overs home. i would recommend this place to any one looking for yummy japanese food for a good price! try the spicy torikara!

we have frequented taku's for many years now. we have never had a bad experience. from the friendly staff to excellent food and value. thisrestaurantproves if you stick with the basics, provide great food at good value without the unnecessary palava you will succeed.

best food in mandurah. this is my favouriterestaurantin mandurah. i’m a local and taku is my first choice. the food is amazingly tasty, great value and the serving size is very generous. never been disappointed!!!
spicy tori kara set, chicken yakisoba and the teriyaki are my faves :) yum!!!

yum yum. great food highly recommend the soups, ngiri, katsu rolls and gyoza. prices are fair but bit annoying no eftpos yet.restauranta little small but at least that means the service and food is quick. one of my favorite restaurants in mandurah. saves me a trip all the way to east perth for sushi train.

was really looking forward to my dinner at taku after having read all the good reviews and an outstanding percentage votes on urbanspoon which is 95%. food is very salty, slightly burnt for my teriyaki fish. portion is ok for the price but i expect it to be bigger. we werent offered to have water or something to drink when we were placing our order. staffs were not attentive. i would try to avoid thisrestaurantif i'm visiting mandurah again.

good food and service. a bit of a novel concept for mandurah, arestaurantwith good tasty food service and a fair price. will eat here again for sure. its not hard, tasty fresh food served timely. well done!

we live local & taku has been our favouriterestaurantfor years! we get take away at least once a week & its always fantastic! very cheap too!!

teriyaki chicken dish was wonderful. therestaurantwas a little too small. customers found it hard to maneuver through narrow walk ways between the tables. once seated, however, service was good and food very nice.
