love this place. food is always good. i think their miso is the best i've had.
i like thechickenkatsu and dig on while it's piping hot so never have time to take photo 😝

ordered agedeshi tofu, beef tataki, deep fried squid and spicy prawn for entree. they were all pretty delicious except for agedeshi tofu which i have had better ones. also ordered the deluxe set which has tempura,chickenkaraage, sushi, sashimi and teriyaki beef. reasonably priced.

dropped in for saturday lunch with kids x 4. sushi was rated by the kids.... i hadchickenkatsu bowl and wife had teriyakichickenand rice.. nip complaints.. fresh good japanese at a reasonable cost

first time trying out this place, thanks to the reviews 😊 need i say, it was absolutely delicious! loved the japanese dumplings (forget the japanese name) loved my meal i got which waschickenteriyaki on rice with salad. thanks for that taku japanese kitchen 👍🏼👍🏼 we sure will be back again!

our favourite little nook in mandurah. the teriyakichickenis the best i have ever tasted & my family will alway pick it first before anything else is added to our order. the serving sizes are very generous & the staff are attentive & friendly. :) the cash-only rule & the tightness of the seating arrangements are the only 2 inconveniences that i found.

super speedy service. prices were slightly higher compared to a place in perth with the same standard of food. lots to choose from on the menu from udon to sushi to main hot meals. the udon withchickenwas delicious, especially on a cool winter night. all meals had generous servings.

best teriyakichickeni've had in a very long time!  gyoza and karagechickenwere also amazing.  super speedy service and very generous serving sizes... love it :).

we won't definitely come back. it is absolutely disappointing. ramen is not worth for us to pay $12 each. thechickenis tasteless and salty. it looked like they served us the food that was cooked from the day before.

absolutely loved it! full of winter colds my hubby and i tried this out looking for some good hearty brothy soups. and we weren't disappointed. hubby had the curry udon which was a rich hearty beefy onion soup with thick noodles. and i had the pork broth withchickenbut the lovely staff were more than happy to omit mychickenfor loads of veg instead. both were fantastic, hubby's slightly won best soup but it was close. i also had an entree of battered oysters, the thick dark sauce on the side was delicious. value for money! i finally convinced him how yummy japanese food is. will definitely be back ☺

taku japanese kitchen is located on mandurah terrace right near the foreshore. it's a small restaurant with alfresco sitting and basic decor. we had the teriyaki fish rice bowl and the miso ramen for lunch. loved the gingery sauce that was drenched over the big portion of rice for the teriyaki fish. the miso ramen came with crispy friedchickenwhich was great but i thought it had one too many bamboo shoots in the broth. the broth itself tasted good though! a nice japanese spot in mandurah

a nice little hole-in-the-wall place serving authentic japanese (western palate friendly) food. always very friendly staff on arrival.

lunch specials is cheap and cheerful, my go to meal is thechickenkatsu don rice bowl for $10.50 or teriyakichickenrice bowl for $9.50.

the dinner menu has all the usual suspects and is reasonably priced and tasty. i would not go there for its ambience but it is a simple cheap and cheerful which mandurah lacks.

i wish they would include pork on their menu though...

value for money great tuna sashimi. my favourite restaurant. there tuna sashimi is the best. other great dishes are mixed tempura, fish teriyaki andchickenkatsura sushi. this place is not fancy but is well worth a visit. what is best about this place is the price i always tip. can't wait to go again.

best food in mandurah. this is my favourite restaurant in mandurah. i’m a local and taku is my first choice. the food is amazingly tasty, great value and the serving size is very generous. never been disappointed!!!
spicy tori kara set,chickenyakisoba and the teriyaki are my faves :) yum!!!

so cheap. we had takeaway from taku last night. we shared a katsu chicken, terriyaki fish andchickenyakisoba. all the meals were really delicious, particularly the fish, which consisted of 3 huge fillets. it ended up being 40 dollars something, which considering the size of the meals is unbelievably cheap. really, really disappointed that this place is in mandurah and we're not, although i'm not really disappointed i don't live in mandurah.
