my go-toplacefor authentic japanese food. i always order the same - assorted sashimi set and agedashi tofu. i've never been disappointed. the food and value are awesome. i would go there every day if i could!!

super speedy service. prices were slightly higher compared to aplacein perth with the same standard of food. lots to choose from on the menu from udon to sushi to main hot meals. the udon with chicken was delicious, especially on a cool winter night. all meals had generous servings.

a nice little hole-in-the-wallplaceserving authentic japanese (western palate friendly) food. always very friendly staff on arrival.

lunch specials is cheap and cheerful, my go to meal is the chicken katsu don rice bowl for $10.50 or teriyaki chicken rice bowl for $9.50.

the dinner menu has all the usual suspects and is reasonably priced and tasty. i would not go there for its ambience but it is a simple cheap and cheerful which mandurah lacks.

i wish they would include pork on their menu though...

value for money great tuna sashimi. my favourite restaurant. there tuna sashimi is the best. other great dishes are mixed tempura, fish teriyaki and chicken katsura sushi. thisplaceis not fancy but is well worth a visit. what is best about thisplaceis the price i always tip. can't wait to go again.

i love it!. i've been to a lot of japanese restaurants in perth but taku is one of my favourites. it's a small family owned restaurant and the atmosphere is just so relaxed and welcoming. the service is fast and the food is always great. the prices are cheap compared to other restaurants and you get so much food! i always end up taking left overs home. i would recommend thisplaceto any one looking for yummy japanese food for a good price! try the spicy torikara!

loved it!. thank you urban spoon reviewers to leading us to thisplaceon our way back to perth on sunday night. the veggie tempura were particularly good as was the green tea ice cream. excellent value, cash only and byo. speedy service with a smile and child friendly. i would go again and again.

best choice. taku japanese kitchen serves a really nice dish and has a really good service. its a niceplaceto have a lunch/dinner with families and frends.

i've been here quite often and most of the time have been happy. fresh and tasty sushi, yummy teriyaki ( though sometimes a little heavy on the soy sauce). the downside is it is a smallplaceso gets full at peak times and once had an awful experience with japanese tea having what was like dregs of kitchen sink in it...not sure if it was meant to??!!!! but otherwise i've been happy!

very busy and smallplacehard to get a table but food is good. prices are reasonable and service is quick. no credit card facilities or eftpos is annoying these days.

so cheap. we had takeaway from taku last night. we shared a katsu chicken, terriyaki fish and chicken yakisoba. all the meals were really delicious, particularly the fish, which consisted of 3 huge fillets. it ended up being 40 dollars something, which considering the size of the meals is unbelievably cheap. really, really disappointed that thisplaceis in mandurah and we're not, although i'm not really disappointed i don't live in mandurah.
