very authentic japanese foods! tasty teriyaki chicken, and sushi arefreshand great! little gem in the city! but only accept cash for payment.

average spot. not knowing the area very well i searched for japanese restaurants via urbanspoon and came across this place. for such a gorgeous location opposite the waterfront i thought this would be such an outstanding place. upon arriving i clearly felt like i should have peaked in.. as i kinda wanted to leave as soon as i got there. dark and smells stale with fake leather and cooking oil, i felt bad to leave as the waitress already handed me the menu. i ordered the set menu with teriyaki beef, tempura veggies and sashimi. so extremely average, nothing overly special about it which was disappointing. the beef was ok, was swimming in teriyaki sauce and had piles of onion through it which was a little off putting. the sashimi wasfreshbut nothing of it which also disappointed me. tempura was nice but very oily and i didn't quite like the salad with the sauce felt like eating sand.
overall it was very average nothing to rave about, at least the staff are very friendly and polite.

delicious,freshand about as authentic japanese food as you can get in wa!

i've been here quite often and most of the time have been happy.freshand tasty sushi, yummy teriyaki ( though sometimes a little heavy on the soy sauce). the downside is it is a small place so gets full at peak times and once had an awful experience with japanese tea having what was like dregs of kitchen sink in it...not sure if it was meant to??!!!! but otherwise i've been happy!

had lunch there today and experienced friendly, efficient service and greatfreshfood. will go back for sure. i recommend the c set deluxe :-)

i think i'm turning japanese....... this is a little gem in mandurah. really, really inexpensive and good tasty food. it's byo - $2 corkage per table and good, fast service. we had seven dishes! yes, that's right - seven! in the name of research of course. we selected entree size dishes and five were really good, two so so. my stand out dish was the tempura. crisp, light,freshand really flavoursome vegetables and a big juicy prawn. big w liked the spicy tori kara - for me it wasnt that spicy and i'm not a fan of japanese mayonaise. he loved it though. for entree sizes these were generous. all were well flavoured and the sauces well balanced. not wow but pretty good and great value for money.

good food and service. a bit of a novel concept for mandurah, a restaurant with good tasty food service and a fair price. will eat here again for sure. its not hard, tastyfreshfood served timely. well done!

best jananese food in wa. veryfreshsashimi. very nice udon noodle. highly recommended. reasonably price. best meal we ever had in wa.
