busy, noisy, designer chic, full of 30 somethings. and a great night out. the food varies from ok through to brilliant.

i didn’t order the food which 4 of us shared. someone chose ‘sweet and sour pork’ which would not normally be something i’d enjoy. too many average dishes when we were living in hk. but here it was outstanding. the pork tender but seared and the sauce depth just lovely. juicy thom kha mussels resulted in much finger licking. a vegetarian curried pumpkin was pleasant enough. appetisers of grilled sausage ( very, very good) and shaved wagyu in rice roll ( not as good, with the rice overwhelming the wagyu).

service was enthusiastic andfriendlydespite the frantic pace of the restaurant.

i can well understand the popularity of syg. and highly recommend to those of you not bothered by the noise level.

the flavors are full on and fresh with lots of surprises. the menu is not kidfriendlybut isfriendlyon flavour. be prepared for a hit of chilli and a word of warning most of the dishes are fairly spicy so bring the mylanta. the space is nicely decked out and i think this is the best restaurant space in the village. a winner make sure you book well ahead and grab any sitting you can.

enjoyed a fantastic meal here recently. we enjoyed cuttlefish, sweet potato salad, prawn toast, naan bread, kingfish, san choi bao all super delicious. to top off meal we enjoyed the panacotta. service was quick,friendlyand genuine.

probably the best meal i’ve had all year! the service was superfriendlyand quick but the food is the stand out. everything we had was truly exceptional, and we ate a lot. pork belly, wagyu tartare, prawn toast, tom kha mussels, beef short rib, red curry duck and mushroom pad see ew. i can recommend every one of them!

been to this place multiple times and have not been let down once. the mussel dish for starter is amazing and the broth that goes with it is the best tasting thing i’ve had. the first time i went i had the salmon curry with this amazing crispy skin which was perfectly done. the second time i had a barramundi curry and a duck curry (sharing) and they both melted in my mouth. staff are sofriendlyand make you feel like you are at home and the cocktails are pretty damn good. love this place and it’s definitely worth the drive from brisbane.

great food, ambience, staff
we had a great lunch here, everything was spectacular. the flavours were amazing. we shared pork belly, tiger ribs and the red thai duck curry and some roti. it was truly wonderful. service was also excellent,friendlyand efficient. highly recommended.

definitely lived up to what everyone was raving about! 10/10 service, staff were all sofriendlyand helpful. food was amazing so full of flavour & fresh! my partner and i agreed that it was by far the best massaman & roti we have ever had! will definitely recommend to others & go back when we come to the sunshine coast again.

from the moment we arrived, the service was amazing.friendlyand helpful staff, modern delicious menu and a fabulous funky fit out. had a fantastic lunch and sum yung guys is worth a visit.. fresh, fabulous and tasty menu. look forward to returning to try some of their other dishes.

wow, what fantastic food, service andfriendlystaff. we were told about sum yung guys by absolute chance while shopping in coolum. so, we’ll spread the word to all our friends in melbourne when they travel to the sunshine coast.

terrific! greatfriendlyservice. tasty dishes - love a menu with little morsels to share and try different things. beware lovers of hot food. when warned a dish is hot - it may be as hot as you expect but based more on the expectation of someone who doesn’t do hot often. in any case - looking loved it!

great service.friendlystaff who obviously love working here. awesome cocktails. food was beyond delicious, well priced compared to some other spots around noosa. our favourite meal in noosa by far

wanted somewhere local to go on our holiday and found this place. good reviews and i'm another one. kidfriendlyand nice staff. the small , medium and large menu options work great for a group(which we were). great asian flavors with a bit of a different twist, could eat 3 orders of the syg sweet and sour pork myself. can get pricy with too many medium or large menu items but i think it was worth it. didn't have their personal brand larger available which is where they lost points otherwise great place.

two return visits after the initial one and this place goes from strength to strength

phenomenal, flawless food with highlights being spicy chicken salad and duck curry. cocktails great and service veryfriendly

deserves to be the highest rated restaurant in noosa.

original- four star review:
it’s hard to say what the noosa standard is, but in my mind the best of noosa restaurants sit alongside melbourne’s best.

given this is run by 2016 masterchef runner-up and the 10 5-star reviews, expectations were high, perhaps too high.

lovely set-up, great vibe,friendlystaff, this place is buzzing.

chicken ribs were good, as were beef cheek curry and lamb. really good, actually. but not great. lovely roti. coffee pannacotta was a little unpleasant.

i understand there are slim pickings for asian food in this area and this is undoubtedly the best.
