our first ramadan iftar of 2018 was at sultan saray in ajman. just before maghreb, you can enjoy the view of the sea from the windows, which is beautiful. the buffet was a mixture of traditional turkish red meats, seafood and lots of baklava!

the seafood and meat were fantastic! however, the bechamel pasta didn’t have enough cheese (we love our cheese!) and the soup could have done with a little more flavor.

overall, it was agoodexperience. the kofta was yummy, the atmosphere fun and the view and breeze from the sea was lovely. there’s also shisha for all you shisha lovers!

it was my first time in this place earlier yesterday and i was told that they serve nice food and the view is worth going all the way to ajman. this restaurant serves turkish cuisine and they have the benefit of being located straight on ajman's beach and serving shisha for those who fancy smoking. my comments are below:

*food:good, well spiced, quantity is good

*ambiance: normal except the view.

*staff: not so impressive in terms of service and friendliness. their manager wasn't really redemptive for complaints and tried to defend the obvious mistake of their chef who has burnt our food (check attached photo.

price: reasonable.

very rarely it is that i get the chance to rate a restaurant with a high rating with just 1 visit. i was actually putting off going there due to some -ve reviews related to service.

nonetheless, i ended up there on a weekday for lunch and the experience was fulfilling...

in some reviews, i read that staff are rude and reject requests when people want to dine with the sea view. to my surprise, without asking, the staff guided us to seats with the best sea view! was really impressed! the decor was well thought out and the color combination of the furnishing was in unison with the sea view. the waiters dress differently too.

we ordered adana kabab, mushroom cheese casserole and dolma kabab. mushroom was ok; adana kabab was straight from heaven. dolma wasgoodtoo but quite pricey for portion size. they were generous with condiments like bread, pickles, labneh and olives, which came free. also we were served with a welcome drink and red tea after food.

for dessert we had sultanah sorbets. didn't like it much.

overall it was a very satisfying experience. we were at ease and comfortable the whole time; mostly due to the view. service was proper. no complaints.
i must say food is a bit on the higher end; but i guess quality demands so.

definitely a must try!

we checked the reviews on zomato before visiting the restaurant. although the in-house dining reviews were not that great we still thought of giving it a shot (one strong reason was the sea view from the restaurant)

food was ok, but we too had a bad experience. the staff were pretty hostile, service was terrible. the bad service took the sheen away from thegoodfood, location and view. this place requires a big time overhaul of the service

just finished from there and here's my review:

1. promised us a specific seating on the terrace, we ordered accordingly and suddenly they let someone else there who just came in.
2. by the time we came to our seating there, our food came in cold although i informed before if its cold, do not bring it.
3. nothing was done to compromise for the bad service offered by the waiters except reheating the food and providing the next available table.
4. food is not amazing, just okay (we ordered eskander kabeb and 1.5 meter kabeb)

the only positive and plus point is the view, so it is only agoodplace of you're going for a dessert with a drink and shisha. otherwise, there are better places

we visited the place to have agoodbreakfast. we badly wanted to sit infront of the sea view and enjoy our breakfast but due to the shisha smoke done on that side, we couldn't go there because we had a 10 months old baby with us. so i would request them to do a separate sea side view for families as well as they can enjoy their breakfasts with a view as well. as far as service is concerned, the staff members always insist you to buy something higher than your capacity without taking the no. of family members into consideration. so as per the staff who was serving us told to a order a bigger breakfast, we ended up buying that. then we realized that meal didn't have shakshouka in it, so we had to order shakshouka (egg) individually. so i think the service sucks a little bit. overall, it is agoodplace but needs to add a little more advancements and professional attitude in it. we enjoyed our breakfast and black tea. loved the shakshouka.

i went here with my family of 6. the first thing that the host/waiter did was recommend a huge amount of food ideally fit for 15 people for just the 6 of us subtly hinting us to over order. gladly we didnt fall for that. we complied to order a turkish rice, 1/2 metre mix grill and a kofta. the dishes were highly overpriced especially the mix grill. its the minimum courtesy of a regular arab restaurant anywhere to provide hummus and garlic paste with the kebabs. but even though they didnt do it, 240 dhs for a bare 1/2 kg of meat is extremely expensive. and the food was medicore and nothing out of the extraordinary. there are places that serve better food for a way better price. the main waiter was condescending about the amount of order we place too. aside from that this place boasts agoodambience and a medicore rating for food and hospitality. will not be visiting this place any time in the near future.

i and my wife went here for lunch and had checked the reviews etc before landing up. the restaurant is by the sea side and has agoodview for people who get to sit by the window . we didn't exactly get the sea side table but we were helped to one as soon as it was vacant, thanks to an alert waiter ! we ordered the gavurdag salad, chlli labneh, cheese borek  and izmirli kebab. the portions were quite decent and food was delicious too. the salad with the pomegranate molasses was quite different and very tasty too with the tangy flavour. fresh bread is regularly brought to your table -thanks to extremely attentive waiting staff. in most other places, we need to look out for the waiter to ask him for bread but here there is a person who keeps a watch on all tables and ensures fresh bread is there. the kebab was very well cooked and was delicate and delicious too. overall the service was excellent and so was the food. for dessert , we opted for the dolma and it was quite balanced and not overtly sweet. perfect !
