i liked the decor, and the service.

however, this place is extremely overpriced and the taste and portionsservedare not worth the price, especially for appetisers.

they are using a lot of liquid nitrogen to create magic in the looks and using foam in place of the real thing etc (for instance, there is a dish that uses coriander foam which added nothing to the dish whereas using actual coriander would have worked better). they seem to be going for theatrics more than taste.

overall, for the wait time and taste, i expected much more.

the dishes were very good. the pan mousse was excellent. the soap cake concept was totally different and amazing. the main course was also very well done. stevenservedus the food, he was very good in explaining the dishes.

worst service when you go in a big group. we had a group booking of almost 30 people and the service that was provided is nothing in comparison with the usual service. i have been to spice klub earlier and was always happy so thought of hosting my parent's 30th anniversary here but i'm highly disappointed this time. staff didn't attend us properly and even the food wasservedsuper late. when it's a fixed menu it's easy for a restaurant to serve but here i dunno what made it so difficult for the staff to follow. we had to ask for every item, it took them 2 hours to serve main menu. when asked for a dish they got it 30 minutes later, even pani puri took them that long.
super annoyed with the service and even the food didn't have the usual taste.

went in for the unique food experience and this place delivered up and above.
must try are vada pao, pani puri, volcano for dessert. these dishes are uniquely presented especially vada pao which was very nice. butter naan here is very different from all the other places and goes really well with their side dishes.
props to prakash who was lively throughout the service, order taking and very neatly explained the dishes andservedit.
also don't miss out on the chocolate with paan jelly at then end.

the experience was a damp squib. a run of the mill restaurant posing to be a fine dining place. the quantity and quality are sacrificed under the pretext of presentation. rotis wereservedcold and the main course was no where close to the original recipe. a thick gooey concoction named malai lassi was mindlesslyservedon a martini long stemmed glass. tender coconut water ordered as a drink came as small cubes of nitrogen frozen balls. well the chef seems to have gotten carried away by the good shows on tv and is attempting to wow everyone with his presentation skills and woefully failed. all in all a bad experience. not worth the money. will never go back !!!

spiceklub was on my list for a long time and got a chance to visit it yesterday, but the experience was regrettable.

very disappointed with both taste and portion size for the money we pay.

orders :
paneer lapeta : literally the worst dish of the evening. theyserved3 bite sized (can compare to the size of one rupee coin) fried paneer. taste was also a big letdown.
pani puri : fancy presentation, but taste wasn’t great
mushroom and spinach starter : don’t remember the name, but this was the best dish we ate there. both taste and portion was good
chilli cheese garlic naan : couldn’t taste any chilli, average taste
amritsari paneer and potato dish : very mediocre gravy.

overall i recommend you to skip this restaurant, else you would burn a hole in your pocket and come back dissatisfied.

hi.. i hav visited the restauranted few days back.i had a good atmosphere there and even the staff named steven helped me a lot in choosing the dishes and evenservedin the best way..do check out the restaurant

had to take my extended family for a dinner.. since we were 8 and it was a saturday night i had planned well in advance to shortlist a place and book the table to accomodate the big count. shortlisted spiceklub after careful research on their menu and varieties, read recent reviews on service and ambience..
we went through the menu which was looking a very good fusion of different states. our server stephen was good and well aware with the knowledge and preparation style of menu. although i think he could have been a little more aware on the quantity that could serve a good 8 people.. we fell short of main course for 8 people.. the bread remained which had to be packed..
although starters, main course were top notch..
spinach mushroom shashlik was a winner in starters, roomali roti and naan were winner in main course.. frankly i did not have such a high quality naan ever in chennai and since a long time anywhere else..
the winner of the night was bubbly kulfi.. everyone just loved the concept of kulfiservedso differently..
stephen was a good server with all his right recomendations to suit our pallet..
cheers to the team. we shall visit again..

visited spiceklub today, and must say the service was really amazing. got seated at the top floor and the food was really good. i must say whoservedus was really professional and gentle. this restaurant always surprises me by their modern way of serving food. i had the nannza, ragda patties & papdi chaat for appetizers. you definitely must order the papdi chaat for the uniqueness in it. i also had the kalakhatta mojito ...which was perfect!

for main course i had the butter naan and malai kofta. the naan was fluffy.

post covid relaxation’s the restaurant does not have the right ingredients to make food of its standard.
they haveservedstale food - papdi chat has got the stale papdi being it months old.
the biryani is wet and tasteless.
the restaurant is not fit to open if it does not have its chefs.

food was excellent, staff was very gentle. stevenservedus. we tried nanza, paneer tikka. it was amazing. must go for food lovers. i loved the presentation of food.

amazing fusion food. takes your taste buds for a ride ! have been here twice and have tried several items. have tried the mango on the rocks, pav bhaji fondue, galauti kebab, their berry dessertservedin an edible glass, papdi chaat all were flawless. can't think of any other equivalent place in chennai..

good place to try out dishes prepared with a difference andservedwith happiness. another good thing we found is that the tip we give, is shared by all waiters from the all the tips received. this is a healthy sign for all waiters to work with same mindset. something good to be learnt.

this restaurant has vegetarian indian food butservedin experimental ways (molecular gastronomy) for starters and desserts. the food was largely tasty. though i didn't like what they did with vada pav. in mains indian flatbreads were really well done and dal makhani superb.
in desserts we tried falooda. while taste was good, few chunks of tutti fruity in it were really hard to chew. overall an above average experience. definitely the way food isservedhere is photographer's delight.
