undoubtedly best asian restaurant when it comes to few dishes. few dishes might be very authentic but the quality of the food and taste was the best. pork satnay, nasi gorang and pineapple fried rice are the must to try. mint coolers will keep you hydrated and refreshing for your taste buds. not so expensive but little pricey. with very few good asian restaurants in chennai soy soi is a must try among those.

a vegetarian's review! loved the place and amazing ambience and very vibrant. open kitchen where you can walk around and see how everything is prepared. my son enjoyed this a lot.

the taste of every item was very flavourful and authentic. we ordered the following:

1. tom yum veg soup - broth type with veg pieces of broccoli lemongrass carrot ginger spring onion and such - very flavourful and yum. quantity for 1/2 was less than other restaurants. but sufficient for a start. this tom yum was not the soy type and very light

2. jackfruit bao - felt it's a bit costly for the two pieces of bao but filling was unique. more of caremelised jackfruit and onion and you could smell the jackfruit. soft bao and tasty.

3. crispy lotus stem with onion tomato etc - quantity was sufficient for 3 and tasty. other restos offer honey lotus crisps and this was a chat/salad type and tasty

4. sen yen phad - i came to this resto for this looking for what i had once in melbourne. the smoky tasty was sooo wooww but could have been saucier. sufficient quantity for 2/3 and the noodles were damn thin and felt like made there.
drunken noodles could have been saucier is all

5. kapi koritan - flavourful and coconut based and very tasty with jasmine rice.

6. soy soi sphere - regret choosing this for rs 425 as it was not worth the theatre effect of choc ball melting. was more like cereal with melted chocolate. ice cream quantity was less and taste can't be indentifief with all that chocolate. won't suggest

7. ginger honey ice cream - tasted like ginger but very less honey - add on honey can be served. just ok.

overall bill came to 2500 (we asked to exclude service charge) and was reasonable for the quality of ingredients and ambience.

covid precautions were also well taken care and digital dining was superb.

craving for asian cuisine led me here, and being a sunday it was jam packed. the staff were very cordial and they were literally running around on their toes. the number of delivery orders they receive, was crazy. but nevertheless, dine in customers were treated equally well. with the given scenario, few changes, they check the temperature, and also provide sanitizer sachet. browsing menu, placing an order and even paying is all digital.
we ordered chicken bao, sate ayam madura (chicken satay) and chicken mee goreng. all the dishes were lip smackingly good. the meat was really tender and had melt in mouth kinda moments. kudos to the chefs who make such food with great dedication and love. great staff and nice ambience.

it was super cosy with dim lights. i'd prefer more vegetarian options, however my friends did love the food here! the momos were super soft and weren't soggy below, which is something i normally hate in other restaurants. the sause that came along with the spring rolls complimented them as much as it did the momos. overall, had a great time!

ambience amazing, very safe post lockdown
service amazing
taste is good, their chefs are good.
but it's surely a place for literally the ones who are ok with low value for money.
we got like 5 medium sized belgium baby pork ribs with hardly any meat and big broad bones for above 500/-. now the glaze was yummy, it was tasty but come on, that is still very overpriced! coming from guwahati and shillong, atleast we are not so used to paying that much for farm pork rib fry! nasi goreng rice was not worth the money. but the anchovies in it were tasty and strongly potent. loved the thai red curry based prawn gravy. vfm. pork baos were tasty and expensive again for just two.
but given the place and location and ambience , it's worth visiting for a dinner date.

visited 1st time. i assumed that they wouldn't have much of vegetarian options, but took me by surprise. i loved the menu, especially the dumplings. i would definitely visit again. 💯

a great asian restaurant with chic interiors. they were very well set up for a pandemic dining experience and good hygiene was maintained during our lunch. the mushroom bao was delicious. my favorite was the vegetarian pad thai- the tanginess was on point. i think the vegetarian pho lacked an element of flavor that could’ve been delivered with some umami or a combination of bitterness/saltiness. it was really fresh though! overall, i’d definitely go back to soy soi for more.

a word of caution for those who can’t handle spice- i would request them to turn down the spice by a notch. my lips had a burning sensation for an hour after lunch, but my husband totally loved it.

soy soi is a trusted stand by when i can’t make up my mind about what i want to eat. the tofu satay was well done but a bit dry. noodles were tasty - with a decent amount of vegetables smothered in sauce that had the flavour of ‘charred’. i like that this is available in a vegetarian flavour.

love this place. it's perfectly safe for dining even during this time. they have thoroughly sanitised everything and we can visibly see it in every detail at the restaurant. loved the food as well. best part is i was able to try different cuisines at a single place ❤️ everything tasted just how it's supposed to be and some even better #birthdaylunchdoneright

its quite difficult to find a restaurant during covid times. i appreciate the safety and sanitization taken by the restaurant. though the part of menu was removed in comparison to what seen in zomato menu, the food was amazing loved the dimsums and the sauces. nasi goreng indonesian style was amazing with the sambal, sushi was kind of ok ok not a big fan and found tom yum soup kind of sour and the dessert soy soi special it was simply amazing. the quality and the quantity were very good. its totally worth the risk in the covid situation. its one of the best for south east asian food
