soi soy – this relatively new restaurant is great for going out for a pleasant meal and is for people who would want to try something different. it’s pan-asian cuisine ensures that it has a selection suitable for every taste bud while ensuring it’s refreshing and exciting. though the prices are on the higher side, the variety that it offers more than makes up for it.
wasabi prawn and crab meat dumpling – 425
a fan of momos? if you are, then be sure to try out this delicacy which has the subtle taste of the prawn and crab meat, mildly flavored, and the intense hit of wasabi. a great starter though a bit on the expensive side.
korean fried chicken bao – 375
a bao is a yeast filled bun. as the name implies, this bao is filled with a tangy and spicy fried chicken which goes well with the mild sweetness of the pao. go for it if you don’t mind having something which is both sweet and spicy, good for the price.
coconut and lemon grass panna cotta – 275
a panna cotta, to put it simply, is a gelatinous pudding made with condensed milk. the consistency was on point and the taste of the lemon grass (which can overpower the dish) was on point and the additional hint of coconut keeps things sweet.
kappa makki (cucumber and cream cheese sushi) – 375
sushi needs no introduction. for people who are averse to the thought of having raw fish, this sushi is a perfect starter for people who would want to try sushi for the first time. a simple sushi filled with just cucumber and cream cheese. priced on the higher side considering the ingredients, but cheap considering its sushi.
jasmine sichuan prawn – 425
the highlight of the entire meal, a plate full of spiced and wonderfully flavored prawns. nothing extravagant in terms of flavor, but the sichuan paste/sauce had the perfect amount of spice which brought the entire dish together.
japanese cheese cake – 275
trust me, you have never had cheese cake like this. just one word to describe this dish, fluffy!! rather than having the cake made from cold cream cheese, this has the look of a hot traditional sponge cake. perfect consistency and no regrets in having ordered 3 of these to indulge in. the only con, it took them a while to prepare this dish (30 mins approx., not sure if this was specific to the day that i had visited) so would suggest you to order this as soon as you are seated in the restaurant. definite must try!!!
