soi soy – this relatively new restaurant is great for going out for a pleasant meal and is for people who would want to try something different. it’s pan-asian cuisine ensures that it has a selection suitable for every taste bud while ensuring it’s refreshing and exciting. though the prices are on the higher side, the variety that it offers more than makes up for it.

wasabi prawn and crab meat dumpling – 425
a fan of momos? if you are, then be sure to try out this delicacy which has the subtle taste of the prawn and crab meat, mildly flavored, and the intense hit of wasabi. a great starter though a bit on the expensive side.

korean friedchickenbao – 375
a bao is a yeast filled bun. as the name implies, this bao is filled with a tangy and spicy friedchickenwhich goes well with the mild sweetness of the pao. go for it if you don’t mind having something which is both sweet and spicy, good for the price.

coconut and lemon grass panna cotta – 275
a panna cotta, to put it simply, is a gelatinous pudding made with condensed milk. the consistency was on point and the taste of the lemon grass (which can overpower the dish) was on point and the additional hint of coconut keeps things sweet.

kappa makki (cucumber and cream cheese sushi) – 375
sushi needs no introduction. for people who are averse to the thought of having raw fish, this sushi is a perfect starter for people who would want to try sushi for the first time. a simple sushi filled with just cucumber and cream cheese. priced on the higher side considering the ingredients, but cheap considering its sushi.

jasmine sichuan prawn – 425
the highlight of the entire meal, a plate full of spiced and wonderfully flavored prawns. nothing extravagant in terms of flavor, but the sichuan paste/sauce had the perfect amount of spice which brought the entire dish together.

japanese cheese cake – 275
trust me, you have never had cheese cake like this. just one word to describe this dish, fluffy!! rather than having the cake made from cold cream cheese, this has the look of a hot traditional sponge cake. perfect consistency and no regrets in having ordered 3 of these to indulge in. the only con, it took them a while to prepare this dish (30 mins approx., not sure if this was specific to the day that i had visited) so would suggest you to order this as soon as you are seated in the restaurant. definite must try!!!

soy soi - ticked off from my pan asian list!! we had wholesome experience here.

the management noticed us prior that minimum time to prepare dish will be 20-25 min.

what we tried ?

chicken baos- the hyped and must try here as suggessted by many. this actually lived upto the expectation. the baos were super soft and fluffy.

spinach dimsum andchickenwonton- both the dimsums were good and tasted really well.

pad thai - well presented and cooked extremely well. the portion was sufficient for 2 people with decent amount of meat chunks.

gai phad prik - this was delicious with tendor meat. the spicy level was mid similair to chillichickenstarter.

satay gai - this was disaster!! thechickensize were small and kept in pieces! it was garnished with lemon so the flavour was quite tangy!

sushi- maki was awesome here. they served 8 pcs. we ordered crispy salmon, chickenkatsu and tempura maki.

nasi goreng - served with prawn crackers, chicken wings and prawn skewers. this was super tasty and appreciated for the quantity they provide.

for desserts - the signature soy soi sphere and japanese cheesecake. the japanese cheesecake was recommended here. i didn’t find these exciting but my friends loved it.

the food was well presented, good portion size and staffs were super cool.

note: excellent service with 600 plus as charge. it was nearly 10% off the total bill.

the flavours are perfectly balanced and ambience was great as well. overall good place to try pan asian food but not the best !

i was a bit skeptical when my friend took me to this place for dinner. but the food turned out to be wonderful. loved thechickenbao. we were so satisfied and full with the starters that we couldn't even have a main course. need to visit again for full course meal.

definitely recommended.

starters-chickenbao and prawn satay were good.

main course - nasi and mee goreng had a sweet base which left it difficult to complete the dishes. nasi goreng had a fewchickenwings which were completely drenched in the sweet sauce which made it inedible.

dessert - japanese cheese cake which had a ginger/menthol flavour ice-cream was horrible in taste. who gives a ginger ice-cream in dessert? the cheesecake itself is a sponge cake which is available at any normal bakery.

great korean friedchickenbao 👍🏻. need to get the rest of their act together though. their menu, apart from the baos, is not too exciting and their thai food is quite off the mark. all the best, soi soy…keep up the great efforts.

it feels like restaurants are cost cutting to pay commission to zomato. hardly anychickenin the char kuay tiew and best seller basil rice had no flavour. no more zomato ordering. will go and pick up.

bao bao!

for me food is not just about the taste, it's also the aroma and texture.

taking about texture, i'm in love with the korean friedchickenbao at @soysoiindia
the softness of the bao buns, that crispiness of the korean friedchickenand ice berg lettuce and the flavours *yumm*

4 resons to visit the place - watch the video to know why!

worst and overrated restaurant.
not worth the money.

all the dishes tasted the same, just soy sauce overdose on everything.
ambiance is good, but usually over crowded, the wait time is quite high.
sushi rolls were average, and it's not worth the money.
pad thai is good but still it is again a soy sauce overdose.
ordered lotus root as well, it tasted exactly the same.
had a chance to try crispy lamb, all it tasted was like a crisp flour coating and we could not recognize whether the meat is mutton orchickenanother soy sauce overdose which is waste of money.

we were expecting to taste a variety of flavors with different dishes but almost all the dishes tasted the same.

it was a total disappointment.

the manager/bill person's attitude is quite bad, so be prepared for that.

i had ordered the red curry , basilchickenand lamb for delivery. the food tasted amazing as always . however the packaging was not upto the mark . the red curry box was open by the time it arrived ( poor sealing ) and leaked all over . i would appreciate if you could explore better packaging for the curry etc . the other two dishes were packed well in the airtight black boxes .
however the food quality has always been consistent and tasted good .

craving for asian cuisine led me here, and being a sunday it was jam packed. the staff were very cordial and they were literally running around on their toes. the number of delivery orders they receive, was crazy. but nevertheless, dine in customers were treated equally well. with the given scenario, few changes, they check the temperature, and also provide sanitizer sachet. browsing menu, placing an order and even paying is all digital.
we orderedchickenbao, sate ayam madura (chicken satay) andchickenmee goreng. all the dishes were lip smackingly good. the meat was really tender and had melt in mouth kinda moments. kudos to the chefs who make such food with great dedication and love. great staff and nice ambience.
