so happy that kolkata finally got an authentic place for all the italian food lovers❤ absolutely loved the ambience, the prompt and kindserviceand the vibe of this place. the food is served fresh and is sooo yummmm. the cocktails are to die for. waiting to visit here next and try the other items on the menu.
for those planning to visit here for dinner, it starts from 7. since we visited around 5:30, we could only order from the high-tea menu that served cocktails and pizzas.
a must visit for sure. a big thankyou to the staff for the great suggestions and making our first visit a lovely one❤

wow what an experience at sorano!
we had a reservation and turned up half an hour late. but the owner, having a huge experience in calcutta restaurant industry, still accomodated us 8 persons.
the food was so fast, and so fresh. more importantly, so amazingly tasteful and delicious.
barservicewas also very nice, tasty cocktails and full variety.
one tip, since the waiters were new as the place is also new, they need some more experience in serving, as they were confused while serving.
i will definitely visit again.

sorano offers some of the best continental cuisines and italian food i have had till date. it has been quite a while since i tasted a perfect thin crust pizza (sicilian chicken putanesca pizza with added pepperoni and bacon),complimented with powdered cheese and chilli-oil. the pasta we ordered, which was called tortellini pollo with pan jus was literally chef's kiss! but the dish that stole the show and won our tastebuds was the scaloppine chicken breast cooked with sage and white wine. we also had some spicy chicken bruschetta that we paired with some red wine, though it was not that remarkable compared to the other dishes. we finished off with some chocolate and caramel fondant, which was the perfect sweet ending to our gastronomic extravaganza ( though we were really hoping to try the deconstructed fruit pavlova, which was unfortunately not available)!
now coming to the ambience and decor, they have left no stone unturned to make the place look as aesthetic and charming and instaworthy as possible! and theserviceleft me impressed.. our waiter shovasish was very polite and efficient, we were hardly kept waiting and he was very knowledgable about the items in the menu and recommended the best dishes to us!
hoping to come back here again to try out some more delicacies!

had to wait for a table even after a confirmed reservation but the food, drinks, dessert andservicemade up for it! subhashish in particular was extremely helpful and polite.

went yesterday with office colleagues . this place was amazing. i believe this is the best italian in kolkata in terms of food, decor n cocktail. nice varieties of pizza and pasta. pizza i liked the most. comes to cocktail,again the varities are there. dalgona martini we liked the most. love their food, ambience and polite, smart behavior of the staff.serviceis very good. definitely will visit again.

i went to dine here last night with my aunty, mom and son and had informed the restaurant to keep a pastry ready for my aunt’s birthday. the person taking the reservation details was helpful and took all the details promptly regarding the specifics of the pastry and message on it. it was supposed to be a surprise for my aunt and they mentioned they so this complimentary. however, when we arrived at the restaurant at the end of the meal when i requested for this they mentioned unabashedly that we asked the server to prepare it and he hasn’t been able to do it. we were so irritated trying to catch someone to be responsible that we gave up and asked for the bill. it was very disappointing the way they handled this and spoilt the occasion for us. that said the food was excellent, pizza verde in the end was burnt and the mulled wine sucked. they were unable to handle so many clients and theservicei would rate at an all time low. wish you guys just buckle up and have betterservice…

lovely authentic italian food and amazing desert as well specially blueberry cheesecake gelato. would like to visit again after improvement of management. the staff is horribly managed andserviceis too late( have to wait 30 mins even for bill and drinking water) and over crowded place. even after booking a table 4 days in advance had to wait more than 45 minutes.

we had 1. truffle eclairs; 2. mushroom tagliolini 3. a half and half pizza with prosciutto ham and an amaaazing berry parfait dessert. theservicewas excellent, we were personally assisted through the menu and offered options that would suit our pallet. the food was really good, they make their own pizza in a wood fire oven. we were spoilt for choice with the dessert too! this is a very date-like, highly instagrammable place. absolutely love the minimalist decor and vibe, with the pastel shades and soft lighting. definitely worth a visit, not once, not twice but multiple times. and omg the cocktails. the lemon meringue tasted like a lemon tart with alcohol! their gin based drinks are pretty good, they’ve managed to master the balance so nothing is over powering. great place, loved it!

ambience is good. food quality is superb. if you plan to visit the restaurant be ready to waste half of your day for a meal.serviceis pathetic. each item on the menu takes a minimum 30-40mins to come on the table.
