the best italian iv had in kolkata ! theambienceis so good too !! chilli spaghetti and the mushroom pizza ( dont rem the exact name ) is excellent !! 😍

pretty satisfied with the service, foods were really good, cocktails were decent and really impressed with theambienceand vibe.

this place is located on the first floor of the harrington residency and is a few metres away from iccr. the lovely interiors will instantly lift your mood, though you might find a full house on any given weekend. i visited this place on noboborsho evening and was surprised to find it completely packed. the seats on the other side of the corridor somehow seemed more appealing. theambienceof the area adjacent to the bar is definitely much livelier, so i'd advise you to ask for a seat there.

coming to the food, all the dishes tasted great, though the portions were small. the staff is super attentive, courteous and helpful when it comes to choosing the best dishes from the menu. loved their mushroom crostini for starters and tortellini pollo pasta for main course. the sauteed mushrooms tasted great too. the salmon fillet with sauce bourride had an overpowering fishy smell which some of you might not approve of in case you're not a big fan of fish.

their cocktails are great. do try out their mulled sangria which i loved. the lime chardonnay tasted okayish. for dessert, the tiramisu was presented perfectly but didn't quite taste as good as it looked.

loved the hospitality of this place. a must-visit restaurant if you're a fan of italian food and wish to try out its different flavours right here in kolkata.

sorano offers some of the best continental cuisines and italian food i have had till date. it has been quite a while since i tasted a perfect thin crust pizza (sicilian chicken putanesca pizza with added pepperoni and bacon),complimented with powdered cheese and chilli-oil. the pasta we ordered, which was called tortellini pollo with pan jus was literally chef's kiss! but the dish that stole the show and won our tastebuds was the scaloppine chicken breast cooked with sage and white wine. we also had some spicy chicken bruschetta that we paired with some red wine, though it was not that remarkable compared to the other dishes. we finished off with some chocolate and caramel fondant, which was the perfect sweet ending to our gastronomic extravaganza ( though we were really hoping to try the deconstructed fruit pavlova, which was unfortunately not available)!
now coming to theambienceand decor, they have left no stone unturned to make the place look as aesthetic and charming and instaworthy as possible! and the service left me impressed.. our waiter shovasish was very polite and efficient, we were hardly kept waiting and he was very knowledgable about the items in the menu and recommended the best dishes to us!
hoping to come back here again to try out some more delicacies!

went yesterday with office colleagues . this place was amazing. i believe this is the best italian in kolkata in terms of food, decor n cocktail. nice varieties of pizza and pasta. pizza i liked the most. comes to cocktail,again the varities are there. dalgona martini we liked the most. love their food,ambienceand polite, smart behavior of the staff. service is very good. definitely will visit again.

when you want to dine or luncheon turkish with your friends,family or date sorano is definitely one of the best in town. now get the turkishambienceand gulp turkish delicacies right in kolkata, at the heart of the city. from chilling with mulled sangria to berry lemonade match it with prawn aglio olio & chicken milanese. a nice place to have food with good hospitality is what sorano is all about. i genuinely loved the place.

if you're looking for some authentic italian food, you should definitely visit sorano. loved loved loved their cheese ravioli. you can taste the freshness and different textures of pasta. however, it's quite different from the regular italian joints in kolkata.ambienceis great too, ideal for romantic dates. subhasish, who attended our table, waa very courteous and helpful.
quantity, however, is very less given the price they are charging.
also, book your table beforehand, specially on weekends.

truly didn’t meet our expectations. the food was very average. we ordered chilli and garlic spaghetti, 4 cheese ravioli in butter sauce, some signature pizza, a salad, a gnocchi and none of these dishes tasted delicious. i’d have liked more generous quantities of sauces, the dishes just felt dry. really liked the goat cheese croquets though. other than that, we must have ordered some 6-7 kinds of cocktails and they all seemed diluted. on asking the waiter, he laughed and said this is our strategy to make you order more. so weird. although theambiencewas good, skeptical about visiting again.

the food was lovely and some of the dishes were quite unique. special mention for ming, our server who was warm and extremely hospitable.ambiencewas great. definitely coming here again and again.
