our special valentine. we had an incredible valentine date night at smuggles inn. we had the valentine special, and everything was worth it because the food (especially the valentine's chocolate souffle) was great, and the service was amazing. i think our server's name was isla; she made our date night even more special. the roses at the end of the night was greatly appreciated. thanks!

brunch buffet...yum. went today for the brunch buffet and i am still full. 9/10 rating!

the selection of food is amazing! tons of baked items (cinnamon buns, tarts, croissants, waffles, scones, cookies, cheesecakes etc). they even had real whipped cream for toppings too.

the hot food was great and constantly replenished. loved the selection of meats! ribs, chicken, prime rib, sausage, cold cuts. etc).

lots of salads, fruits, cheese, and a seafood table. also an omelette bar.

plenty of staff around coming to fill up your coffee cup. i will definitely be spreading the word at how awesome everything was! it was delish.

taste buds are watering!. smugglers ambiance and food make my family and clients feel like royalty every time we've been there. their blakced prime rib is by far the best piece of meat i've ever injested! the soup and salad bar is always a nice start to the main course- it would be nice if there were more options available at the salad bar.
it is definately one of the top 3 favorite restaurants i have in the city, and i've never had a bad experience there, nor do i expect to in future. they run a tight ship there!

okay but not as good as it used to be. used to come here alot, but it's been a few years (it just wasn't convenient, not because we didn't like the food), so we decided on a dinner here the other day. they've changed the menu a little, i guess to try to stay competitive. soup & salad bar were the same, and my cajun blackened prime rib was tasty and cooked to my liking. my complaints are with some of the smaller details. the prime rib came with bone-in which it never did before. i do enjoy ordering beef ribs sometimes at tony romas, but when it comes with my prime rib, i can't help but feel a little ripped off. seasonal vegetables turned out to be only cauliflower. and also came with a sad looking yorkshire pudding with no gravy (which i ended up getting steak soup to put on it). overall we had a good night, but can definitely see the quality suffering somewhat.

brunch time blues. even though i had a reservation we waited and waited and waited. i told the staff when we arrived we would be one member less than the reservation... then they acted like i didn't tell them. snotty, negative vibe. we were finally sat down the waffle station was gone, even though it was only 11 am, the sausages must have been leftovers from the night before, the bacon was cold the hashbrowns were so hard i could even pierce them with a fork. cold prime rib. man, this used to be the place to go for brunch and the eggs benedict was inedible. 7 of us... nobody had a good meal i was embarassed as we had out of town guests.

great service and better food. always pleased with the service and food here, amazing prime rib.

buffet breakfast. i read on their website before i went there. the website said it was the best breakfast in calgary for the value.. $15.95

there was lots of food selections, but the food was cold, the juice glasses were so small that i had to refill over 10 times, 2 mouth fulls per glass.

when i got my bill it was $22, i said the website was $15.95 the waiter laughed out loud and said "ya the website is wrong and needs to be updated" he left and didnt come back for another 20 mins. he didn't even reduce my bill.

i wont be going back to this place!

we were looking for a place that had prime rib and we found it!!! been here 2x now and it was even better the second time! it is not a modern atmosphere but its still nice and so is the service! everything they serve is sooo good! (except the yorkshires) you gotta go here if u want prime rib! enjoy!

favorite place. smugglers is our favorite place to go!! always great food and great service!! we have never had a bad meal at smugglers!! i would highly recommend it to anyone!!!

best beef ribs in town!!. ate at smugglers inn and was pleasantly surprised by the size and quantity of their beef ribs. smokey and delicious, they wont disappoint! their sides are also amazing and with a salad bar to boot, we will eat here again and again.

awesome. we went there on saturday night. i called earlier in the day to make a reservation and the gentleman answering the phone reserved me a table that he said was not normally reserved. we both ordered the prime rib. it was a beautiful cut, minimal fat and very flavourful. the salad bar was fresh and offered many different items that i do not usually see in a salad bar. the atmosphere was unique and quite suited the name. i could see the furniture being in a castle or a smugglers den.

repeat customer!. i try and hit up smugglers inn at least once a month! the dishes are almost always perfect for my tastes. food quality is fantastic.
many of the staff have been there for years and execute business perfectly.
i love the dark setting - its so throwback and perfect.
try it at least once and judge for yourself!

brunch buffet. i absolutely loved the brunch buffet! there was so much variety of food and everything was amazing! definitely coming back.

great dining experience. we celebrated our 10th wedding anniversary at smuggler's in july, and as usual, the food was fantastic, the service was impeccable, and the atmosphere was relaxing. the salad bar was extensive, fresh, and attractively presented. my husband had the steak soup, and ended up going back for seconds. the buns were fresh and melted in my mouth. i could've easily have made a meal out of the salad bar, and buns. i had the beef ribs, and they were fantastic, but way too much, my husband had the rib combo, and again, delicious, but way too much. well we have another meal in the freezer now for another time. since it was our anniversary, we were treated to the mud pie, which was next too none, we devoured that as well.

the service was phenomenal, the waiter was extremely attentive to our needs and continuously check on us to see if we needed anything else. we had a totally enjoyable dinner, as we do every anniversary that we have been there!
