stop in and ask for johnny, he isgreata host and the food is amazing!  never have had a bad meal here. this is the best mexican food in jax!

love it!! checklist for authentic mexican: spanish speaking staff-check, telemundo on tv-check, a california burrito that includes french fries-check, andgreatsalsa. they offer a salsa bar with salsas that range in heat levels and pepper variety. the guacamole was fresh and well seasoned as was their chicken and beef. the california burrito impressed this cali native.

good service but greasy and not for health consious. such nice people andgreatservice, but need to get some better greens besides iceberg for salad. go easier on the oil for fajita veggies.

cheap eats with friendly service. my husband and i are always on the prowl for new places that offergreatquality food made from fresh ingredients for a fair price. if they serve tacos, that's a bonus. our favorite type of tacos are true mexican style tacos (meat, cilantro, onion and lime). came across this one while perusing the urban spoon directory and decided to give it a try (even if it was a 40 minute drive for us). i ordered the number 1 (two mexican style tacos). 1 with carnitas and the other with pastor. my husband ordered the same, but with 2 carnitas. we placed our order and grabbed a table. my husband grabbed a small portion of each of the fresh homemade salsas from the salsa bar. my favorite was the ranchero, my husband favored the habanero.the young lady brought us our complimentary chips (extra charge for take out orders) and the queso we ordered. their queso was delicious and creamy. consistency was dead on. then are tacos were brought up with little wait and we quickly dove in. the carnitas taco was great, but nothing stand out about it from other places we order carnitas from, but the pastor in my opinion was a winner for me. the meat was very juicy and just full of flavor. we quickly ran out of chips and i sent my husband to the counter to purchase another order of chips. the gentleman (who appeared to also be the owner) was more than happy to just refill us on the chips for no charge. we both had a jarritos soda to go with our meal. our taco orders were just $4.99 for 2 tacos which is agreatdeal to us. most places we get the same type of tacos from average out to about $2.79 per taco. so for 4 tacos (2 each) a cup of queso, 2 baskets of chips, and 2 bottled sodas we paid $17 and some change. a very fair price for what we experienced. i can't wait to go back. i'm looking forward to trying their enchiladas and the 12in burrito, while my husband has his eye on the carne asada meal. we will more than likely start using this as our regular sunday brunch place. the owner told us all about thegreatdrink specials they had every day. we only encountered the owner and the young lady who rang us up and both were just out of this world friendly and made us feel very welcomed. you can tell this place really cares about the customers. we can't wait to take our friends and family to this new spot.

simple and delicious. i live in tallahassee, so of course if i wantgreatmexican food i have to wait until i can drive to jacksonville and eat at si senor. they are terrific, if you like fresh, excellent food, this is the place. on the other hand if you prefer greasy and sad food, tallahassee is just three hours away!.

the thing i like best about this place is how comfortable i felt there. it’s just a simple place withgreatfood. i felt like the staff was friendlier than at other mexican restaurants i’ve been to, like casa maria on old st. augustine rd whose staff sometimes makes me feel like they’re doing me a favor by attending to me. there is no pretentiousness at si senor, or the feeling that you are being rushed out the door like i’ve experienced at los portales on belfort rd. and the food here is just better. keep it up, si senor!

delicious!! thanks urbanspoon!. came here for lunch with my coworkers; saw it hadgreatreviews on urbanspoon (so thank you!). we were greeted by the owner who was very friendly (as well as his staff) and very patient with us newbies. i had the chicken enchiladas with rice and beans, as well as chorizo hard taco. both delicious and fresh! i loved the taco! they also have a homemade salsa bar with (i think) 6 different salsas! my favorite was the avocado one with a bit of the hot mixed in and the racherita salsa! they bring the food out to you very quickly and also check to see if you need anything throughout your meal. the only downfall i saw with this place is that it is a little small in regards to the walkway but it's so delicious and great, that won't stop me from coming back! they also have a fuseball table :) and 2-4-1 margaritas all day. :)

the food is delicious and as fresh as you can get. very affordable and the staff is incredibly friendly. the owner is enthusiastic and even works at the register. he will give you agreatintroduction to the menu if you tell him its your first visit. the staff is genuinely kind and the owner personally asks you how your meal is. i couldn't have asked for a better experience. i wish there were more of these restaurants around florida.

good lunch!. a few of us from unf really enjoy coming here for lunch.greathomemade salsas at the bar and tasty fresh eats. i always get a number 1 with chicken and love it with fresh lime squeezed on it (corn tortilla street tacos). it is cheap and always fresh. the owner is incredibly friendly and we have always had excellent service when visiting. we can get in and out quickly and for a good price. the owner often brings fresh chips to the table for us gratis. we always have a good experience.

nothing great. my husband and i decided to stop here for lunch after reading all thegreatreviews. we were disappointed. the food didn't tastegreatat all. very bland. we had the california burrito and the chimichanga. the person greeting us/taking our order wasn't friendly. the salsa bar was ok, nothing great. definitely will not return. the rice and beans option was very bland as well.

amazing food!. best mexican in town! johnny was such agreathost and the food was amazing. my girlfriend and i each had the burrito california and it was perfect. the queso is perfect, and the burritos are stuffed to the brim with meat, not rice like at moe's or chipotle. i can't wait to go back, and be sure the try to wine margaritas!

all of the pictures lookedgreatand they reviews were wonderful, so we gave it a shot and found a new favorite! one of my favorite things about si senor fresh mex is the salsa bar. they have 6 different types...

si senor!. good quality food! i was surprised how good this was because i am use to mexican restaurants serving greasy meat in jacksonville. the chicken here is charbroiled and not sitting in grease sauce! i tried the chicken quesadilla, chips and guacamole. the guacamole was fresh and chicken hadgreatflavor. the manager was also very welcoming. i will be back!
