sea lounge - the taj mahal palace

light piano music and sea view is a good recipe to relax.
hot chocolate cake with ice cream is nicely chocolaty with chocolate sauce inside and the soury rather than sweeter vanila taste makes it quite different vanila ice cream.

the ambience was great,the live music was average.we were fortunate enough to get the best table in the restaurant overviewing gateway after waiting around 10 minutes for a table. being year end it was already booked.

special mention of their orange juice,it was the best glass i ever had.

coming to food, we had ordered tomato soup,chicken soup both of which were good. where as the chicken soup was mentioned to be served with garlic chips,it was missing garlic flavour altogether.
however,when we shared this with server, the head chef came to us with another bowl of soup which was too yummy.(and aroma of roasted garlic flavour bursting through)

the head chef was very courteous. needless to say,we became a fan of the level of the commitment they are showing towards customer feedback.

for starters we ordered dahi puri and paani puri. dahi puri was very tasty and was plated the same way as your average dahi puri, paani puri was just average.

in main course we ordered truffle omelette which had really good amount of truffle and served with rocket leaves and asparagus salad.

the other main course was prawns with roasted potatoes and veggies which were served with hollandaise sauce. prawns were really fresh and the sauce was very good as well.

the service was bit slow throughout dinner and it was a hard time getting ahold of the staffs to add anything to your order.

one star in this review is purely for the hospitality of the head chef, people like him make dinner in taj an experience rather than just food.

delicious food and perfect ambience for a wonderful high tea. chicken and cheese toasties and fish and chips were delicious. the melodious singer created a beautiful relaxed ambiance. by around 7 pm the lights were dimmed.perfect place for a romantic evening .

located inside the iconic taj hotel, this restaurant is one of the finest and luxurious restaurant you will find in the city.

decided to visit shamiyana restaurant to have some coffee with my friend, but there was lunch buffet started in shamiyana so the staff suggested visiting sea lounge and we loved it.

it is a great restaurant. courteous staff, floral decoration, amazing ambience. there is a great view of arabian sea from the windows.

they place pleasant music on the piano live!

overall a great place to experience. lavish and luxurious.

the first time i had gone there was during high tea. their buffet assortment, environment and the evening performer made the settings perfect for a heartfelt conversation with my sister.
the second time i went there was with my parents, for tea and coffee. 

the exquisiteness of this place made it all worth.

wah taj...taj is not an epic jus like tat....they have a style in their every essence.

"sea lounge" is the gem in their crown.

located aptly by the bay...royale view of gateway...stylish english style interiors, warm and friendly staff... jus makes it perfect settings for an experience to cherish.

we went for the midnight coffee...they had a wide range of menu for tea & coffee to serve.

the calm & poise experienced ...is beyond words.

this was the first restaurant explored in taj followed by shamiana and masala kraft. bit expensive compared to shamiana which provides more value. but the best is view you get of gateway

what can go wrong at the taj mahal palace? in one word ..... nothing.
been to this place on several occasions around the year and it just won't disappoint. the decor immaculate, the staff well informed and polite, the food not only perfectly designed but tastes very good.
finally the coffee and tea that me and my family love is spot on. we call for a pot of brewed coffee and a pot of jasmine tea.
both delivered to perfection.
great place and not obnoxiously expensive.

one of the best place in mumbai, you must visit. enjoy you conversations with you partner ,your food , luxury around and most importantly low coming voice of high tides.

such a nice view nd truly taj palace style. beautiful interiors and such a wide range of delicious coffee. my kid was with me and staff took such a good and sweet care of him that truly impressed me.

the sea lounge is a beautiful place to have snacks. i love the ambience and the decor. staff was very courteous. 

i ordered sev puri, mocktail - wild berries and love for cool wave. i like the drinks over sevpuri. it was a great experience and ofcourse, the hospitality was top notch as it is meant to be.

will surely visit again.

great feeling to be there in sea lounge. cool n calm ambience and sea facing view is incredible. must visit place. staff is well groomed and courteous. very nice experience with family on coffee table conversation. ice cream was of great taste.

the sea lounge is one beautiful place to have breakfast or evening snacks cum tea. sitting beside the window sipping tea, one can get a magnificent view of the arabian sea together with the gateway of india, ferries, yacht and so on which in totality is an awe-inspiring experience.

the place in itself is located at a place having a long heritage i.e. the taj mahal palace hotel and has extremely brilliant decoration giving a majestic feel especially to the guest. to note it sometimes does radiate the old world colonial charm in a good way and surely is delightful. the service as expected is also top-notch.

coming to the food, it was good and to note the sea lounge does offer myriad variety of tea which i feel is spectacular.

no doubt it is one of an experience that one ought to have and feel. the only concern one might have is the pocket pinch but then again it is something worthwhile.

hope to revisit soon. :)

great ambiance, good vibes. been here twice. once for high tea. variety of dishes, cup cakes and what not!
if you have money in your pocket go ahead with this.
