came here with my hubby and 3 kids and was not disappointed! theservicewas excellent; everyone was super friendly and our server was very attentive. our favourites were the dynamite shrimp and the teriyaki beef. the beef is cut into strips and is so tender. we usually have lots of leftovers but our kids enjoyed the food so much they finished every last bit of it!

ok, so the food was excessively good. not sure it's legal to be this tasty. recommend the 69 roll, it'll make it to their award winning list of items... which by the way are excellent. sat at the sushi bar and theservicewas crazy good.

food was good but unfortunately theservicewas poor. our table was squished back in the corner and easily forgotten about. the food my fiancé and i ordered came out separately; about ten minutes apart from one another. did not make for a good dining experience.

book before you go!!!! i waited more than 1 hour to get seats. but both food andservicewere totally worthy!! i love the lobster and crab ravioli sooo much!! tuna toro sashimi was beautiful~ everything we ordered was perfect!! definitely wanna go back on future trip to maui

greatserviceand incredible sushi. due to previous reviews, we tried the shrimp dynamite and it was no let down! the flavor was amazing with the garlic and the unagi glaze. spicy tuna was what you'd expect, but wasn't overpowering. the red dragon was my moms favorite. it sounded much spicier than it really was., it was smooth with a little kick. the boom boom was my favorite. it had a sweet taste that was unexpected. the pink cadillac was my wife's favorite. it was sweet mixed with masago, shrimp and eel. yellow submarine was almost overpowering with the pickled ginger, but the cucumber and masago tried to calm down the ginger. the kapalua butterfry roll was the let down of the bunch. it was very fishy and needed the sauce and carrots. without it, i wouldn't have been able to eat it!

i would definitely suggest this place as a go to for sushi in maui. best place we ate on vacation.

delicious sushi, great atmosphere. great sushi, amazingserviceand great music. reasonable prices for a nice night out in maui. we just ordered one or two things at a time as the night went on and it made for a great experience. definitely one of the best stocked bars i've ever seen at a sushi resturant.

absolutely love love this place, i dream about the panko crusted ahi and rock shrimp dynamite all year. trudy has always treated me like family and provides above and beyondserviceas well as top notch drinks! i am upset to hear she no longer works behind the bar. lost a big chunk of my favorite sansei experience.

start and finish with the sushi. the staff were all friendly, althoughservicewas a little slow as they're packed all the time (definitely book in advance!). the sushi is the hero of the day - they have specials they change regularly but everything we ate was delicious. i was a little less impressed with a main of ahi with shrimp cake - it was nice, but the sauce was way too sweet and there was no acidity on the plate at all to cut through it. i would definitely recommend loading up on a heap of sushi though. oh, and they do 25% off if you order before 6pm, which is pretty awesome.

what can i say. the sushi in maui everywhere is great. this place is tucked into a nice area where theserviceis great, the patrons are in shorts and t-shirts, and the food is amazing

so good, we went twice. we went twice for the 50% off after 10pm deal. you have to make a reso and if you're just two, sit at the sushi bar.

now here's the deal: the staff here deal with cheapos that go for the 25% off before 6pm, then they do a crazy dinnerserviceand then they do the karaoke 50% off crowd after 10pm.. so you just gotta understand that and let your waiter know that you're fun and there to relax and have a good time. once our waiter knew that we were the real deal, he was awesome and took his time making sure we ordered the good stuff and had a great time.

also now that gratuity is added to the price of everything automatically on the full price so be aware when tipping but we tipped well because our waiters took care of us.

obviously the food is out of this world so i won't comment on that too much but yeah, the panko crusted ahi roll is worth doubling up on .

this sansei is on par with the other island locations. the menus are the same.service& food were wonderful. i love their rich foie gras sushi and rainbow roll. hubby had the seafood pasta with rice noodles. it was a very tasty entree. we finished with a top notch dessert - tempura macadamia nut fried ice cream. large enough to share; so good that you don't want to share it!

great food, but everything else needs help. tables are tight and crammed together. chairs aren't comfortable.serviceis weak at best. you will wait even with a reservation. if you could get the food take out, it would be perfect. if you could get the food

great experience!. mike and trudy at the bar, greatserviceand drinks! (trudy is from texas) ask for mike's hendrick's special, possibly the best drink i've ever enjoyed! on to the food, all of it was delicious and perfectly prepared. the panko crusted ahi tuna roll, was good but too much fried characteristics to enjoy the natural flavor of the fish. overall, great experience!
