sansei seafood restaurant & sushi bar

my husband and i both agree that our favorite meal while on maui was at sansei. we took our server justin's recommendations and he didn't steer us wrong. i had the delicious butterfish, and my husband had the otoro blue fin tuna sashimi, and he also had the sansei special roll. we ended the meal with the apple tart which was also mouthwatering. it's true thisrestaurantis more expensive than urbanspoon would have you believe, but it is worth it! don't leave maui without going to this restaurant!

sansei has turned more non-believers into sushi lovers than any other sushirestaurantin maui. d.k. kodama started in a little spot in kapalua that exploded into a beloved, award-winning restaurant. while the original kapalua location has grown, new restaurants in kihei, hawaii island and oahu have made the sansei name synonymous with sushi and is now recognized as one of the nation’s top 10 sushi restaurants.

best seared tuna i've ever eaten. the rest if the food was just as good. sushi was fresh and the rolls were interesting and tasty. i'll be eating here twice on this visit and will never miss therestaurantwhen on maui.
