we liked it.. enjoyed a nice late lunch this afternoon at this burger joint. first off, husband ordered their drink special, "bloody irishman" and he doesn't even drink bloody mary's. i've uploaded pictures because the description is way to hard except for the fact that it was quite good & spicy, not too mention all the snacks on it.
as for the burgers...yummy. my husband & i each had half of the others burgers. he chose the mexican and i had the black and blue. both were quite delicious. they have different varieties to choose from. fries were okay, not the best. tried their coleslaw's, their original and chili lime slaw. each had their own unique take to the classic old slaw. service & atmosphere were great. will we return... you betcha!
***i originally had this review posted on s&b burger joints other location until i realized the mistake. we ate at the midtown location.*** original posting date 3/22/12

shadow version of the hard rock cafe. you don't need to visit a larger city to get the hard rock cafe experience. you can get it at this location of s & b's. i went to their original location on may avenue a few weeks ago and ended up here with some friends for lunch today.

i found a review on the oklahoman that mentioned a strong rock and roll theme in the decorating of this place. that review is dead right. probably the most nifty touch is that the men's and women's bathroom doors are identified by full-length pictures of male and female rockers. nice touch!

i tried the burger with blue cheese and red onions today. i like blue cheese with my steak, so i thought it was worth a try. it didn't go over as well as i thought. the blue cheese was not detectable by taste, and the onions almost overpowered the burger. if you like onions, this is one of the burgers for you.

great beer, ok burger. went for the first time recently with 4 friends. the place is small, so it was a 30 minute wait. the waiter was nice, he made good recommendations on beer and burgers. he suggested fried green beans for an appetizer. usually an appetizer is meant to share.....we shared, each of us had 4 green beans. for $5. then we waited, and waited, and waited for our burgers. 3 beers and an hour later we got our burgers and fries. they put the fries in these big baskets and it's not even 1/4 full and you get like 20 fries for $4. what's with the small portions??? and the burgers weren't as big as we expected. we all asked the waiter if they gave us sliders by mistake and he said no. fries were cold, cheese cubes extremely overpriced, our burgers were warm, at best. at any given moment the window was full of burgers just sitting there. $40 per person for burger, fries and 3 beers each. never again. there are too many really good burger joints in okc for this place to survive on small, overpriced, cold burgers.

loved it!!. the fire burger and the 'jerk' bloody mary was amazing!! they definitely used good quality ingredients, and it was very well put together. the waitress we had was friendly and attentive, and we had a few other ppl that worked there come up to us and ask us if everything was okay. my husband had the black and blue burger, which he said was really good, as well as the great selection of beers. we will definitely be back!

kind of a let-down.. i was so excited to try this place. all the hype had my mouth watering. i'm not saying it was horrible, but it certainly was not worth telling my friends and neighbors about. i'm sure i wont go back. the food was so so at best, and the service although nice, was very slow.

a pleasant surprise was the house side salad ($3) with heaping bits of real bacon and an apricot vinaigrette dressing. this salad could easily be served at a fine dining establishment. that is, if you could ignore the fact that it is served in a high school football game nachos cardboard container.

s&b burger joint was deliciously different. they have interesting burger combinations that might sound weird but are amazing. the burgers are juicy and flavorful and the sweet potato fries weren't bad either. i recommend the elvis burger. who knew that peanut butter on a burger could be so good! the beer list is great too. for such a small place they really have a lot of good beers to choose from. the atmosphere was pleasant as well. i went with two others and we all left wanting to eat it the next day.

great burgers and awesome staff. even while they were slammed they were very attentive. they have a large beer selection and lots of interesting things on the menu. we finished our experience with a slice of pie called the "hot mess". it was served warm, had bourbon and carmel in the filling and was topped with crumbles of crunchy bacon. the salty with the sweet really worked together. can't wait to come back to try more things from their menu!

yummy but small and expensive. at lunch today, i ordered the cobb salad. it was tasty but on the small side. this dish is served in the larger sized burger basket and had maybe one cup of greens. the table also ordered the cheese cubes which were great but again very tiny portion. we also had the fatty which was greasy today (i have had it before at may location and it was great). we ordered 2 scoops of scoops ice cream which was very rich but lacking the expected ingredients: cookie dough and chocolate chips. also, my 65 year old dad, who looks like kenny rogers, got carded for a beer. really? the waiter was a little snooty and seemed like she was new too.
