s & b's burger joint

goodfoodbut pricey. the burgers are very good but too pricey for the size. i am not a big eater and did not get full on one burger. i think if a side were included with the price of the burger that would make me go back.

s&b's burger joint. trendy, goodfoodand loud.. my wife and i decided to eat at s&b's for the first time on wednesday evening about 5:45. first, parking is a problem as the main lot is gravel and the next lot is one way in and then you probably need to back out. they need to rethink all of this. the burgers are good, maybe very good. they are juicy and you need lots of napkins. all have catchy names and were interesting to try to figure out what you wanted. it's more of a bar that serves burgers rather than a restaurant that has a bar. lots of beer selection and that seems to be the attraction. the service is pretty good but thefoodwill take about 15 - 20 minutes to arrive. i had one of the burgers and my wife had another variety. we also had the combo fries and sweet potato fries. these were very good. it's a little over priced but i guess you are going for the trendy atmosphere in almost downtown okc. it should do quite well for the younger set but for me it was a little too expensive and too loud. maybe it was just the two obnoxious men sitting at the bar who were very overweight and shouted almost every word.....

at lunchtime parking can get interesting. their service is slow so that translates into a long lunch. i wasn't expecting qsr speeds but this was pretty slow. in contrast others in the chain are slowing but nothing like this.

now on to the food. thought the burgers good with some interesting combinations and prices to match. burger came cooked as requested. foodwas the match of other outlets in the chain.

think i would consider one of the other outlets because you can probably get there and back sooner.

incredible burgers! love the vibe of the restaurant and the killer music they play. very disappointed in service. our waitress was plenty friendly, but the speed of gettingfoodout is borderline irresponsible.

two strikes. i usually give a place a three strikes and then they are out, this place has two so far. the first was the hour wait at lunch, since i only get an hour for lunch that is why. strike two came on the next visit. we get there at 11;50, and there is a group of 10, but since there is just two of us and their tables are set for 4 we had to wait, until they filled the larger groups or groups with 4 people. michelle finally stepped up and caused a rukus, so we finally got a seat, but i bet they spit in our food. but since that day we have not had any problems and we eat here at least twice a week. the fatty is good, and the fried onions are just enough, the pie is good but it comes from pie junkies and that is another review. the staff is pierced and tattooed and old crappy jeans and some are damn right scarey, but thefoodis good, and we try not to stare at them. but there is a chick with fish hooks in her lips and bars on her eyes, wth is she going to look like in 10 years...oh my !i give it like 7 stars out of 10.

i came in last night and this is the greatest place ever. the restaurant has a nice concept. the hostess is one of the sweetest and most polite people i have ever met at a restaurant. there was not a moment when she wasn't working and helping around. the manager alan is also extremely kind. sadly though, our server coogil was seemingly drunk or something. other than that thefoodand the atmosphere was spectacular.

great food. horrible hostess. i've never had a more demeaning and rude hostess ever in oklahoma city. everyone is always so nice an friendly... that is until i visited this resturaunt. on multiple occasions she has interrupted me when i had a question and talked down to me. i thought that was the worst until i realized that's her being friendly because on the next visit she just ignored us and put other people in front of us in line. i love thefoodbut i can't keep coming back if i keep recording service like this.

best waiter ever. thefoodwas great but it was mad even better by brian d "smash" he is such a riot! we will be back and request his section! he made the experience that much better

favorite burger place. while s & b's has expanded in all directions from it's original nw 59th and may location, this second location is my favorite. brett has been a regular for several years now, eating there about once per week, with toni joining him from time to time. it's small, with experienced long-time servers and kitchen crew who all do a very good job. the cooks at this location seem to take more care and produce goodfoodevery time. this is not a four-star experience, folks. it's a well-run bar with a much higher standard for creative and goodfoodthan most any bar that you will frequent in okc. try it!

went there last night and it was the worst restaurant experience i've ever had. my server was completely unfriendly. i was excited about the chili fries, and when i got them i immediately got sores in my mouth because it was so salty. the sauce on the theta burger was just salty. i had high expectations, and all of thefoodwas absolutely terrible. not to mention it's eight bucks for a burger that doesn't even come with fries. spent 30 bucks on 2 burgers and chili fries, not worth it.

wow! what a burger!!. my fiance and i went here for lunch before a civic center show last saturday. this was my first trip to this restaurant chain and i am happy to say it was awesome!! the decor was old record album covers and a picture of a record store along with posters of rock stars all over the place. love the open kitchen so i can see myfoodbeing prepared. i had the bleu burger, a bacon wrapped burger stuffed with bleu cheese. need i say more. it was excellent! i also tried their caesar fries. also good but not needed since the burger was rather filling.

the menu had a great variety of burgers to try and they would also build burgers to order. plan to go back and try each one!

expected the worst( a million people in line on a monday), got the best. server was fast,foodwas a little slow(about 15 min after i ordered), and yet somehow i had a great experience. i could see the cook working a multitude of orders and i even heard him talk about myfoodas it was being plated..knowing myfoodis "about 60 seconds away" gave me enough time to take a bathroom break! also, the bloody radish was great! might try dessert next time, but it seems i need a nap. zzzzzz-

doesn't come close to the hype. had my 3rd and final visit to s&b's burger joint. guess i was hoping i could see what the hype was about and maybe it would be better than the first couple times. i'm not saying thefoodis completely terrible becasue it is edible, however, the burgers are lacking in flavor. you can build a much better and flavorful burger in the frying pan on your stove at home. for some reason okc burger joints stick to thier guns with their onion burgers ,but unfortunately thats about the only thing, along with catsup and mustard that adds flavor to the burger. the worst part of the visit is paying the tab for rediculously overpriced burgers and fries. think i will stick with burger king. at least the meat has some flavor.

we have always loved s and bs,foodis fantastic! but the last few times we went to this location, the service was terrible. the final draw was a friday afternoon, there was a "singer/songwriter" guy playing guitar and singing inside, which was a too much for a casual lunch. we requested to sit outside so we could hear each other talk. the waitress was ok, not terrible, but when we were about done eating, our drinks were empty, no big deal i guess. but then we were done eating, and just sitting there, waiting for the check.. for like, 15 minutes. i peak my head inside and our waiter is singing and playing guitar (quit terribly) inside. after making eye contact with about half of the staff and nobody coming to check on us for another 10 minutes we decide to just leave a $20 on the table and bounce. we don't go to that location anymore. the one on may is excellent, and the one on the south side is even better! i'd recommend those ones.

slowest service ever! very disappointed in service and timing. every table has gotten therefoodand we are still waiting for drinks.
