friday lunch, bad experience. s&b, i am one of your big fans. your entire 9th st staff needs to go observe the 59th st staff to re-learn how things (everything) should be done. i have always had super food/service at 59th, conversely, seems like something's always a bit off at 9th. friday, my bread was soggy, onions not quite cooked enough, and an unexpected surprise in my burger..i'll leave it at that. my lunch buddy's burger wasn't cooked properly and he received the wrong burger...apparently the recipe for the asian has changed, now they say it's similar to the hot lips houlihan. it used to not be sweet & have wasabi on it. ok, fine. his replacement burger came out fairly quickly but still wasnt correct. i had told the waitress we were on business lunch & needed to hurry. it seemed difficult to get help from anyone. a different waitress finally picked up our trash & assured me our checks were on the way. as our waitress seemed to be giving plenty of attention to the table next to us, i tried to get her attention with no success. we laid our credit cards on the table, yet nobody seemed to notice. finally i caught her eye & she was like " oh, are you ready for your check?" seriously? totaltimewasted for lunch: 1.5hrs. the food & service were totally not worth it. i will still be a loyal fan of 59th st but i think we're done with 9th st. sorry. oh, several other people seemed upset too, including the two ladies & a boy next to us who must have waited at least 45 min before getting their to-go order.
